That's not what he said. He said lsu was 2.5 favorite which could mean vegas thinks alabama is better because the home team usually gets 3 points

What would convince people that Alabama is better than LSU...
what evidence? Leaving TR wide open the flats? so they looked better offensively? Go rewatch all the carries of TR in that game...he was totally held in check

LSU out rushed Alabama in that game without really running the option all that much..JJ is the perfect storm for the alabama defense
LSU will make that defense move around a lot early in the game and thus tire them and then 27 is going to gash them in the 2nd half
It's going to be fun watching Hightower get blown up by either Copeland at 290 or Hillard at 240 running down hill...
