As day six rolled in for the Patriots today, finally after 4 days of practice he got to roll with Mac Jones and the first team. He had a great day with 3 catches one on 1st round pick DB, and another on veteran DB.
He said he’s working hard as hell and was glad to get 1st team reps. The competition is tough w/ JuJu , Devonte Parker and others. He did say he went to an Elite SEC school LSU and will continue to work. Said he’s feeling better about his assignment and learning everyday. “Nobody is going to give me anything and I understand this, I had to work from the bottom to get here and I will start at the bottom again and work my way back up again. I’m ready to do just that”. This is not verbatim but you get the jest. Good Luck to him and hope he gets back to being what we know he has in him.

I'm happy for him.
I wonder what he would have accomplished if Burrow had been throwing him passes, instead of Johnson.

If he ends up having a solid NFL career it’s going to be hilarious to watch people on here do a 180.

From Patriot site:
This was easily the best practice yet for Boutte, the former LSU standout who tumbled in the draft due to coachability concerns. Largely quiet for the first six days, Boutte beat Gonzalez and Jonathan Jones — who might be New England’s two starting cornerbacks to open the season — in 1-on-1s and caught a pass from Mac Jones in team drills for the first time this summer."
Boutte acknowledged after practice that his Patriots career got off to a slow start, but he said he’s gaining confidence and feeling more comfortable. Some positive progress for the former five-star recruit.

Never doubted the physical skills, just the mental aspect. Hopefully, he has improved in that. I always root for ex tigers when they are making good choices.

Who is booing him? He underperformed at LSU but I think most of us want him to kill it in the NFL. I know there are a few retards but that isn't that many, I think.

As am I and so should everyone else who is an LSU fan.

His issue was not who was throwing him passes, he actually seemed to lose confidence after the injury and was pressing IMO. I think the bulk of his issues originated in his head, he was simply not as focused as he had been or at least tight and distracted. In the games where he seemed to relax, we saw flashes again. I am not sure we ever saw him get back to full speed at LSU, though. I hope he can get that step back in the NFL and shows everyone how good he really is.
