Something that gets a little lost on the amazing play by Morgan: that was Skenes’ 117th pitch and it was 100 mph.

It’s so messed up that he won’t have a say in the national championship series after the year he’s had. I know that’s the way the CWS works, but Florida got lucky. I wish just once we’d get Florida when we’re not hamstrung. We could see who really is the best team. Team’s going to need a lot of heart and a lot of grit to pull it off without Skenes.

If it goes to game 3 I'm certain he'll pitch at least a few innings.
