It will be 6pm and ESPN will love it.

Georgia/Tennessee at 2:30 on CBS.

I’m told it’s going to be a 11:00 am kickoff unfortunately.

Gameday isn’t passing up Athens and a 2 vs 3 matchup.

LSU Bama is second best game of the day. CBS always takes #1. UGA Tenn game is huge so they get 2:30 slot. ESPN gets LSU Bama for 6:00 pm slot

Do they want to promote CBS’s game or ESPN’s game?

It’s never about promoting it. It’s always about choosing the top matchup location later in the year.

Now, if Georgia loses to Florida this weekend, it could change things.

How does ESPN decide between their 11am slot and 6pm slot?

When we played Tennessee, they had no 6pm ESPN or ESPN2 KOs due to the MLB wildcard games.

11am is around the 4th/5th selection

CBS at 2:30
ESPN at 6:30
ESPN2 at 8
ESPN 11am and SECN after those.

Thought LSU and Alabama have agreed that it will always be a night game no matter here or there and both teams will always have a bye the week before they play.
