Don't care.. they both played very well!

I wouldn't be surprised if this is almost entirely due to Ward's open field tackling. It get's him closer to the LOS and IMO is going to be key if we are going to beat State.

Jay has played every DB now at LSU… I’m excited to see him close to LOS. Also Brooks communicates well supposedly. I’m loving how BK is so willing to change up lineups and properly game plan

Secondary will be a lot deeper with Foucha and Banks eventually but we could use them this week.

Excellent move and it shows that House is identifying his talent well

I like it, too. Dude's gonna be a top level NFL DB. One more for the tradition.

Actually Ward graded out really poorly vs FSU.
Maybe they are hoping this will simplify things for Ward, and they think Brooks can handle safety without much if any drop off.
Hopefully the move helps because MSU will be a challenge.

He excelled at this in high school.

This should fix some communication issues back there

I think Ward will be a problem at nickel… for opposing teams.

Major Burns has been responsible for communication on the back end. So far, there haven’t been many busted assignments like we’ve seen the last 2 years. We’ll face our biggest test this week though.

I actually really like that switch.

That may be, but I bet there aren't many receivers looking forward to going up to reel one in in front of Ward. Dude really lays the wood sometimes.

Where are you getting the Grade out? PFF?
Gotta believe Fouche is gonna get dropped in there at S for Brooks/Burns at some point too.

Ward needs to stop with all his yapping at opposing players. He got at least on 15 yard penalty last year, after coming close to several others & he's been back to yapping these past 2 games.

Yep. Heartily agree.

And he needs wrap up after he lays the wood on someone

I guess I missed it but is banks suspended too? Was wondering why I hadn’t seen him out there this year yet.

Even though it was Southern, I liked what I saw with Ward at nickel and Brooks at safety.
