I would imagine Wade would not be looking to go anywhere. He’s built this program from the ground up, literally

Unless it’s like duke or Kentucky, I think he stays out

With that being said, he deserves a contract, he’s earned every penny

They've had something lined up for a while, just waiting to see what the IARP drops on basketball before getting everything signed probably. Or just make an amendment he can be fired for cause for certain types of violations in his new contract.

He will be getting paid, no worries there

Wade is a super star coach that is about to take off.

He needs to be extended yesterday, facilities need to be updated yesterday.

When in his presser after a big win over Tennessee he brings up the roof linking at the practice facility, he's saying " I want my shite"

Stood behind him when he needed it most.

He’ll get his contract and he knows it.

Shea said a few days ago that they're working on an extension. I don't think this season has changed anything regarding how much he would be paid. He's getting a nice bump regardless.

LSU taking advantage of the NCAA investigations to be frugal...hope that $hit goes away so he can get paid!

Wade didn’t want the extension, he said let me show you what I’m worth and then write the check

No other school is going to pay him a lot of money, with all this shite hanging over his head.. Now once it’s done, different story…

If he continued to get paid less than the womens coach do you think he would turn down and extra million to somewhere like Indiana?

We were trash for a decade and he immediately turned us into a contender and now this year he’s got a real title contender, at LSU.

I think not paying him is just asking for trouble

Kentucky is the one to worry about. Cal hasn’t exactly been doing great over there and that is one school that does not care one bit about what kind of trouble a coach has been in.

I agree. But getting paid less than a hall of fame coach who has won titles and will compete for titles here

The facts of the case are this:

He has a cloud over him right now. No extension until things clear.

LSU wants to pay him, but concerns are warranted.

LSU supported him when shite was hitting the fan. Both sides like each other.

He will get paid. There’s no rush.

And the reference to mulkeys contract: she’s the best ever (arguably). Wade isn’t close.

Wade isn’t close yet. Very young coach who could very well be building something extremely special here.

It would be smart for Wade to adopt a position of not pressing for a new contract until he can show a strong track record and until he distances himself from the fallout of his damn strong offer. He will earn more money that way.
But a lot of the responsibility for delays are squarely attributable to Wade. You can argue he was only doing what others do, but he got caught.
Hope neither he nor LSU suffer adverse consequences (beyond the bad press) and that he makes a bunch of money.

Well, the fact that his contract is almost up kind of suggest otherwise.

Well Wade has made it quite evident that it's time to make plans for a new stadium or dramatic renovations to the PMAC. He even made comments about it a couple days ago.
