Nope, never have. Would love to go, though. Just not every year. Too cold.

Some bad, bad takes in this thread by some obvious non-Texans
Whats was a bad take? Noone said that Texas wouldnt remain the king of Texas. Just that you would be damaged if A&M and OU came to the SEC. The guy who said "destroyed" already said it was a misuse of the word. So please inform us on the "bad takes"

Wouldn't Aggy have to change their fight song if they went to the SEC and didn't play UT every year?

They could go 20 years without playing UT and their obsession/inferiority complex would remain just as strong.

this is why i can't see them leaving UT
TU is their fricking existence

What's funny is Texas not being interested in the SEC due to low academic standards. Not saying it could not be part of the equation but the main expansion driver is all about dollars.
this amuses me as well. The SEC is on par with the Big 12's academics and the dollars they'd lose due academics coming to the SEC instead of the pac 10 or big 10 would easily be made up with TV and bowl dollars.
If theyre worried about their academic image they can just look at Vandy and see how they are still considered one of the top schools in the nation. Whose to say they arent on the same level as UF and Vandy and right infront of UGA?

I always found hilarious and sad or hilariously sad when OU or Aggy would be playing a team like Iowa St or Kansas and the camera would pan to the crowd and students would be doing the old horns down thing.

They also want to prove to big brother that they aren't co-dependent. This would be the best move ever for them. But nobody claims that Aggies use logic.

At least the Aggies would yell "S-E-C!" louder than any other school's fanbase.
Even after they go 3-9 every year.

I live by and work with these people. They talk more about UT than their own programs. But I guess it makes sense.
It's amazing how the ONLY big wins for the Aggies football program in recent years came against Texas.

3-9 wouldnt get them to a bowl, which is where Ess Eee See is so fun to say. Now if yall were one of those 3 wins then SEC should be chanted because you just got beat by the worst team in it

Now that we have some horns on the board do yall consider OU an equal?

Rival? yes. Equal? No.

The only way U of Texas going to the Pac 10 will work if they have some non current Pac 10 teams closer than Arizona, Colorado, and S. California in their division. Can you imagine their fans having to travel great distances every year for conference games? What about the expense of non revenue sports traveling to California and the northwest on a regular basis? Texas needs some Big 12 South teams to join them in the Pac 10 or it just won’t work out for them. This is a reason I’d like OU (a top tier football team) and Texas A & M join the SEC. As another person posted, I like to see Texas, Texas A & M, OU and Oklahoma State join the SEC. Texas is a huge media market. A good number of OU and OSU players are from Texas and broadcasts of their SEC games would attract good TV audiences in Texas.

why not? do they not have equal success? Im speaking only about football. Having equal success when youre the school of Texas and theyre the school of Oklahoma says a lot. It would be like Ole Miss being equal with Alabama. Yall have a larger school, fan base, and the owner of the state they get their recruits from yet you are equal in success.

For the life of me, I can't see why so many schools are so willing to let the University of Texas make their decisions for them.
It's called self-determination, cowards. Look it up!
If I were running A&M, I couldn't run fast enough from UT to the SEC.
It's almost as it these schools have been kicked around so much for so long by Texas, that they can't imagine life without being kicked around by them. It's sick.
