One report from The Birmingham News said the Tigers still don't have the necessary votes from SEC presidents and chancellors. An insider told me, though, Vanderbilt is likely to switch its vote to provide the necessary majority.

As for Vanderbilt, word is officials there might vote for Missouri if the other option is WVU. It's where the academic reputations of the schools may come into play. In addition, Missouri can claim to control more television sets.

Yep, Saban wants WVU and I understand that... Vandy will go with Mizzou's academics and not follow Bama.

The choice is really as simple as WVU or Mizzou... I believe the answer will be Mizzou and I believe they will be placed in the East.

I think it has a lot more to do with Bama wanting to preserve the UT game than Saban wanting his home town school in the league.

But frick all that. If LSU can lose ALL of its SEC home night games for the sake of "progress" than Bama can quit playing UT every year too.

i think we could cut vandy off from this voting bull shite. they've been sucking sec bucks for so long they think they are equal or something? all we have to do is pass a min. stadium size for sec membership and their puny 33,000 seat high school stadium will sink 'em. sometimes in life, it's good to know when to shut the frick up and do what's you're told.

...and because their presence blocks FOIA requests. I don't think we want the SEC having to fend off audit after audit.

NighT games are not the equivalent of giving up one of cfb oldest rivalries. Whether LSU plays at night or at 230 the stadium is still full and there is no money lost. It would be nice if yall would suck again and then you could have all of the night games you wanted seriously though as long as LSU is a contender they will have to play the 230 games on CBS when playing big match ups and that doesn't have anything to do with Bama.

Auburn gave up the Florida game when the SEC expanded to 12. But you know, screw Auburn.

Every school has had to made sacrifices for the whole. I'm not saying Bama HAS to give up the Tennessee game, but it has to at least be something we can consider.
