in expansion. Who gives a shite about that game?

Please tell me Alabama/Tennessee is not going to be a deciding factor in how we expand or move teams around.

Tennessee sucks now and the rivalry pretty much blows.

I like the UT/Bama rivalry. Been a series of streaks and respect mixed in with some good hate.

If both schools hold enough sway to prevent the SEC from moving on without them, then it doesn't really.

If you're saying that in a non-cocky way I agree with you, the two teams involved should definitely have a say in the matter.
If you're saying it because you feel those two schools are more important than any others GFY.

It's the first one. If the holdup was about preserving the Egg Bowl, I would completely respect the two teams refusing to concede, despite the fact that I find no value in the game whatsoever.

The 2 programs with the most wins in the SEC. It is one of the best rivalry games in college football. The only rivalry games that are possibly as good in the SEC are UA/AU or AU/UGA. I know Ole Miss really doesn't give a shite about traditional rivalries b/c Miss State is shite and everyone else runs a train on your sorry arse team.

Create a two team conference. You and UT and play Each other 8 games on every Saturday and instead of calling it 3rd Saturday in October you can call it every Saturday of the season.

Rumor was that Tennessee voted FOR Expansion and Missouri...

Vandy voted no, but they also voted no on TAMU and are 100% against.

Now the surprise, UGA and UF voted against it because they wanted an Eastern team.

UGA believes it would help their recruiting.

The problem with going east is you have to raid the ACC (Virginia Tech is who they want)... If Virginia Tech says NO, then look for Missouri...

I heard that, and I would definitely be upset it was true. It would be a little surprising, though. I don't see Bama begging to keep the game if Tennessee didn't care enough to vote the same way, to be honest.

I understand it is a big game to their respective schools. However, it is not really a big game to many outside those two schools. It is not the big in state rivalry game you see other places. It is not a game you see game day traveling to each year to cover. If this is the factor holding up an expansion to 14 that sucks for the other 11 schools. If it was an in state rival game taken away I would say stay at 13 but Alabama and Tennessee is not that big of a deal to me.

SEC is about 13 teams at this point. Look I feel both of ya'll but to moan and groan about it like both fanbases are is a joke.

Get over it, the world won't end if you don't play every year and in case you have forgotten, it's the SEC, not the Bama/Vol conference, everyone has to give shitte up

Who else has to give up their biggest rival, or anything close to that?

UGA and Florida want an east team, but constantly bitched about Florida State and Georgia Tech being mentioned in expansion. I don't think anyone in the ACC is going anywhere anyways. It will have to be WVU if thats the case.
