No contest, WVU def wants it more...and for good reason...they have more to gain. I kinda like the idea of WVU in the SEC...very passionate fans, good athletics. They just need the big majority of good fans and admin do a better job of policing their own fringe knuckleheads...something the SEC should address as a condition of admittance.

Would think Missouri joining the SEC would build their program to maybe become an SEC atmosphere one day. Did not really hear a lot of good things about West Virginia on this past game.

Wait, what?

Fwiw, and it's not a lot, I have a source, not my own but a source nonetheless, that claims there will be a big announcement from WVU within the next couple days.

I have no idea how truly reliable he is and he might even just be fricking with us. But he has pulled through in the past.

I wouldn't be surprised about an announcement but it all depends on where West Virginia ends up. I think West Virginia would transition better to the SEC.

There is more than just an announcement. More specifics, but this is second hand knowledge for me. I just know somebody that knows somebody in a high position. I am curious to see if it happens. And how much of it happens when they say it will.

I was kinda cool with this conference expansion, but now I realize I was dumb for liking the idea. Can you all just go back to wherever the frick you came from.

Let their schools duel to the death, winner gets in the SEC.

Either way, we all win.

I'm cool with WVU, Mizzou or even TCU. All three have something different to offer our conference. But most important of all, they don't SUCK like Old Missed. I say we add 2 of the 3 I named and dump Ole Missed to the SWAC where they belong.

Fwiw - Beyond U Sports posted last night that a group of five Big East schools will join together to implode the conference at their meeting on Sunday, leaving those five free to join other conferences without having to pay exit fees and wait 27 months, etc. WVU wants SEC and supposedly has a "handshake deal" on it, but could end up with Big 12, if Mizzou goes SEC. Guess we'll see soon enough if any of that comes to fruition.

westvirginia.247sports.com seems to indicate that WVU has been put on the clock by the Big 12 to decide ASAP. Don't have access to their site, but maybe some WVU poster on here does.

From reading all the message boards and articles I can find on this topic, Im gonna say we want it more. From facebook groups, websites, boosters and fans emailing the B.O.C., AD, president, Governor, etc. Overall it is a huge swing toward wanting to join the SEC.

You are kidding your self if you think the fickle mizzou fan base wants it more than WVU's fan base

Do you travel like we do? hell no
we fill up our stadium better than you even though you have more people to draw from and our stadiums are roughly the same size

Sorry the mizzou fan base is not as rabid as wvu

the misconception of our fanbase not traveling well is a bunch of bull. Our capacity is 10,000 more than yours and almost all of our conference games this year are sold out or nearly there. It keeps getting better and better every year. Our potential is greater than WVU and a move to the SEC would be a GIANT step in the right direction
