Who is losing recruits?

A&M, LSU, Arkansas all think A&M to the SEC will improve their Texas recruiting. Bama thinks they'll get a player or two every now and again. UTa thinks they'll always get "theirs". OU dominates Dallas.
Who is losing the recruits? There aren't that many quality players to go around. it has to be Texas or OU. Tech and Baylor aren't getting elite recruits.

dont see it changing all that much...
now if UT or OU join the PAC 12...I dont see a kid from Tyler or Sealy wanting to go to the West Coast to play and have Grandma not see them with the 9pm kickoffs

UT, Tech and OU will only play one west coast game a year in a PAC 16. Something Texas has never minded doing anyway due to the large alumni base in Cali. And all 3 will play more in-Texas games than A&M. Adding more TV exposure for USC, Oregon and the rest of the PAC 16 should not be discounted either. it will certainly be less locked down for OU, UT, and A&M but will open some doors elsewhere too. Time will tell.

Im curious how you figure that?
All the west coast teams will play in Texas and Oklahoma?
Dont see USC or Oregon or Stanford getting on their knees to suck the Texas tit....

You will still play several games out of time zone, even if those are in Arizona, Utah, Colorado. I don't think it would be a huge deal for y'alls recruiting, but I don't see many Texas recruits getting as jacked up about a schedule with those teams on it.

UT and OU would be in an 8 team "east" division with OSU, Tech, CU, AZ's and Utah. and only play 2 "west" teams a year. One here one there. Not saying that alignment is set in stone but most likely.

I think the assumption is that in a PAC-16 east division including UT, TT, and the OK schools (along with AZ schools and Colorado and Utah), this would only leave 2 interdivision games against the CA/OR/WA schools. One home and one away - but as was correctly pointed out, at least 2 other intradivision games would be in Mountain or Pacific time zones.
I hope this sh*t ends soon and we can just watch football.
Oops - tejasHorn beat me to it.

Me either. I doubt many kids decide to go to LSU, Arkansas, etc. just to "play in the SEC". They're committing to a school, not a conference.

I think it helps Arkansas slightly in football, but really helps in other sports.
When I lived in DFW, I remember seeing Arkansas covered on local news sort of as a "4th" team a few times, especially when we had a big win. We'll get more exposure in N. Texas as we already have a big fan following there.
Might help us out in baseball, basketball and other minor sports more than anything, just to have the SEC events covered and talked about more often.
