they have no money to add anyone of significance. they are now closer to the big east/mountain west in quality of over all conference. they lost two of the four teams to win/play for a n.c. in the last 30 years.

This. But they do need two more to get their CG money back. My guess is they'll have a tent revival somewhere, probably in Whacko, and invite BYU and TCU. That way they'll ensure the Mountain West never gets a BCS autobid.

I doubt that they would invite BYU. No TV audiance and real competition.

1. Take Memphis and Fred Smith's $10M/year offer. They're going to need the money somehow once they find out that the new TV contract will probably be paid in Monopoly money.
2. Go for BYU. Give the not-so-Big and no longer 12 Conference this much -- unlike the atheists over in Pac10Land, at least it will consider a religious school, and if they ever decide on a permanent rival format Baylor would have one that makes some sense.

excellent post. 1 mistake
While there may be some atheists in the PAc10
the PAC10 have millions of true believers in the same myths you cherish. I wonder what the percentages are? How many true believers, just like you, whatever your sect is.
Whatever the answer in the PAC10 its not ZERO, they include WHATEVER SECT YOU ARE IN, so you are going to see you are wrong. they are NOT all atheists.
Even in the whole USA there are only 27% who call themselves fundamentalists.
WHICH ONE ARE YOU?

Why do you bring your bias to something that can be fun?
Drop your prejudice long enough to let the rest of us enjoy football.

Or they could offer two of Colorado State, New Mexico, and New Mexico State. And then kick the Oklahoma school's to the North division. Could still reasonably be thought of as the second or third best conference.

Alabama and Florida.

Seriously, I like Utah and BYU; mainly so I can visit that beautiful state from time to time.

Football programs aren't shabby either.

So, if the PAC 10 adds Utah to make 12 teams, and then possibly the Big XII adds TCU and Houston to again have 12 teams; what 4 teams does the Big East add to make them a legit BCS member? (Since all 5 of the other BCS conferences will presumably have a 12 team conference)

The Big-12 needs to counter attack. With the new contract in place they should be able to make a decent offer for Arizona and Arizona St. hehehehe.

I thought the Big East needed four?

At any rate, they could take Memphis, East Carolina, Tulsa and re-invite Temple. It wouldn't be the strongest conference by any stretch of the imagination; in fact, it might be the weakest. But it would be 12, and Memphis/Temple would be good for basketball.

You are right, I had a brain fart or something, it would be 4.

I like readmitting Temple. I also like East Carolina. Memphis wouldn't be bad either. I would replace Tulsa with either Marshall or UCF.

Really not a whole lot out there for the Big East to make their way to the upper half of the BCS, but if the other 5 BCS conferences have 12 teams and a title game, then they should be required to expand or GTFO. IMO.

Hell, after the MWC loses Utah, maybe they should add 3 teams and become the 6th member over the Big East. Who knows?

Only bad thing about Utah and BYU is they will not play on Sunday in any sport and that would be a pain in the arse to work around in sports other than football. I guess Houston and TCU would work but that would shape up more and more like the old Southwest Conference but take those two and kick OU and it's brother up to the north. To me Louisville and maybe Cincy might be a good option. Hell, losing Nebraska, there is really nobody out there in that part of the country to replace them with. I'm glad my team plays in the SEC and we don't have to go find two mid-major teams to field a 12 team conference. Just not a lot of regional options to choose from.

No one. expect to see a lot more Big 12 teams in the title game. We'll only have 2 or 3 games of significance a year.

Horns fans are retarded, I don't understand why they are so eager to buy season tickets to see KU, Baylor, OSU, tech, and Mizzou. As a football fan its absolute shite. I have no interest in spending time away from my family for that line up of suck.

One thing is certain. It will be whichever team(s) Boss UT decides, and her nine little bitches won't even have a vote.
