Adding these teams to the SEC would solidify the conference as the best in Football, Baseball, and Basketball in my opinion.

It would expand the SEC's tv markets, and put the SEC up there with the best academically.

Whay say ya'll?

The Texas schools would be the only real force in baseball. UNC is falling, and Duke is in the cellar. Basketball, it would be a powerhouse. Football, there's no reason to think it wouldn't be a powerhouse. Cutcliffe has Duke on the rise. Maybe not a contender, but certainly a competitor.

Yes except it would unballance the conference.

Would need to shuffle existing E/W teams.

UT, TAMU, UNC, VT.........would keep things more ballanced.

I would JIMP for either scenario....

You could also substitute Oklahoma for Texas

A Kansas/Kentucky rivalry would be great to watch every year, plus we'd get to see ol' Roy as well.

One problem with this is it makes the West really hard in football and waters down the East even more in football.

Kansas would be an interesting substitute for Duke in this scenario. That way you might shift Bama to the east, although Auburn geographically would make more sense going to the east.

UT, Lsu, & Bama all in the same football division would be cut-throat.

Are Duke & UNC a package deal like many think UT & TAMU are?

Bama and Auburn would move to the east only if they both go. They would have to play each other, and Bama won't give up UT and Auburn won't give up UGA. No way to have 2 permanent rivals outside your division, so they would both have to move. If that happens, it would ruin LSU's rivalries, but we could quickly get up to speed with UT and aTm.

Interesting take. I had only been considering the football implications.

I think you're right.

So, either add two teams to each division, or 4 teams to the west while shifting AU & UA.
