SIAP, if so, this could use reiterating.
Brad Edwards, ESPN, called the SEC West the toughest division in NCAA football (obvious) but suggested it may be the toughest in the history of NCAA football.

Hey, aTm! Are you sure you want a piece of this?

The SEC West in 2011 is not even as good as the SEC West of 2010.

Agreed. Bama/LSU will be about the same. Arky will prolly be about the same, may be a little worse. The dropoff for Auburn won't be made up by the Mississippis

That's true if Auburn does drop off like everyone else thinks we will.

Hoping we don't drop off like that, but it still doesn't get much better than having 5 teams in the west last year being as strong as they were.

Arky will be better.

But yes, 2011 won't be the same as 2010 because Auburn is not the same team.

Possibly. Shouldn't Arkansas, LSU, and Alabama all be at least a little better?

I don't expect to be better than last year yet. After seeing our O-line and RBs in a game then I'll have a better idea

I dont expect 'Bama to be better. Defense should be better, offense will be worse. Schedule is much better, though, so I think we'll have a better record.

Yes. Both Auburn and MSU drop off.

Ole Missus slightly improves, but doesn't make up for the Auburn/MSU drop off.

I'm not sold on Arky either. Mallett may have been a meth addict, but he was a damned good QB.

Agree, but I think an improvement on defense more than makes up for a drop in offense. For example, I'll certainly take the 2009 Tide over the 2010 version.

Why? They just lost their starting quarterback and running back. Im sure they have some quality replacements but those are big losses.

West may not be quite as tough, but the conference as a whole will be stronger, too.

2001 SEC East
Final AP Poll: #3 Florida, #4 Tennessee, #13 South Carolina, #22 Georgia
Non-div record: 27-14

Wow... those SEC West stats are unbelievable

It is shocking to think we went 14-0 through that

How could you possibly know this. Did you see it in your chrystal ball?

No one person thought AU would win the NC last year and look what happened.

It gets better. Here is the list of non-division losses that didn't involve Ole Miss:

South Carolina 35, Alabama 21 - Oct 9 in Columbia
Ohio State 31, Arkansas 26 - Jan 4 in the Sugar Bowl

Ole Miss' non-div losses were to Jacksonville St, Vandy, and Tennessee.

I know this because Bama is favored to win the SEC and Bama only wins the SEC when the SEC is down.

One of the more overrated divisions ever. Probably the most.
