If aTm fails to take a shot and just goes along with UT, how long until the house of cards collapses? The SEC will doubtfully put an invitation on the table again.
Either way, isn't it interesting that all it took was an invite into the SEC and it scared the frick out of Texas so bad, they'll do whatever it takes to keep an SEC team OUT of Texas. At least, that's sure how it looks.

Well, if one applies some game theory here, maybe Slive and the SEC now rescind the offer if it looks like Texas really does want to stay in the Big XII.
Why?
Because then the SEC can keep the status quo. If the SEC still invites A&M, however, then the PAC-16 will happen and that will present a threat to the SEC in terms of competing tv packages and what not.
Just a thought.
