So UT will end up with one big game a year in OU? Possibly two with OSU?

What a joke.

Not going so well for you lately.

ewe, sick burn.

FTR, I would rather play Arky Thnxgiving week, cause I can't go that weekend and really don't care about playing Arky, just another game.

A&M is a team I want to see us play.

Check out Austin's home schedule in 2012:

Wyoming
New Mexico
Iowa State
Missouri
Baylor

You tell me - if you are a season ticket holder (and probably paying big $$$ donation on top of that to secure tickets to the Cotton Bowl vs. OU), would you be happy with this home schedule without A&M?

Looks like the type of schedule TCU went to the Big East to get away from.

Texas is understandably frustrated with A&M.....A&M votes for the conference method of revenue sharing and for schools to control their own 3rd tier rights and then bitches about what they voted for. A&M's hypocrisy is the issue.

Again. How does UT and their 3rd tier rights give them the privilege of broadcasting highschool recruit highlights?

UT arrogance and greed is the issue.

I wouldn't give A&M the satisfaction of the game either if I was Texas.

The satisfaction?
In case you havent noticed, we will be in the SEC. We dont exactly need the game.
We are just smart enough to make it their decision to end the series and take the PR hit.
Which they did, predictably.

UT needs that game a hell of a lot more than A&M; especially when you start considering SOS needed to qualify for MNC.

Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle tweeted a different take "DeLoss Dodds confirms Texas is afraid to play A&M"

quoting richard justice is shakey man. the guy advocates a 8 or 16 team playoff which will absolutely destroy classroom time and then uses classroom time losses as proof that a&m shouldn't go to the sec. he definately talks out of both sides of his mouth. he also doesn't seem to know how far iowa and kansas are from college station.

the game has been scheduled for about 100 yrs so they should have the drill down by now.

Which undefeated team (BSU or TU) would you pick to go to the MNC game considering strength of schedule?

I don't see how they can do that and get away with saying its too hard to schedule a game with A&M at the same time.

they would have to play a conference game then or else they are going to look like hypocrites with massively bruised egos.

Yep, when we turned in our walking papers one of the deals we made with Slive is that we would leave the t-day weekend open on our schedule specifically so we could continue to play our chicken shiet rivals.

We must have scared the shiet out of them because all that was left for turkey day was chicken.
