Its going to interesting to see if Texas really bitches out of the series and refuses to still play us. Our president already publicly stated that we want to preserve the rivalry, so the ball is in their court.

If they do refuse, they better find someone marquee because homegames against TT, BU, KU, ISU, KSU, etc. are not going to excite the fanbase.

Texas, Ark, LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn and Mississippi State.

Whoa.. I bet you have a winning record series against 1 of those 7 teams you'll play each year.

TAMU will need so much luck history HATES them.

This! What a sad home schedule - no wonder they just sit on their hands and don't make any noise at the games.

they might be able to pull off a home and home with ND on TG, but they are never gonna get them in the big 12.

Least amount of noise you'll ever hear from 100k. Half their fans are messicans now anyways

It is an absolute joke when they are on any "intimidating venue" list. The only reason why it has been a hard place to play in the past has been the quality of their team, it has nothing do with the venue/fans

It depends. Have you ever attended an OU/UT game? Hell hath no fury like a Horn fan seeking revenge. I remember some UH and Tech games that exploded at kickoff and continued until the arse kicking was over at 0:00. Rare, but it happens but only because they seldom lose.

Otherwise it is like a PGA event.

As to ND, I think the Horns seem carried away with the penis envy of ND. They want them and BYU in the Big 12 when aggy leaves. I cannot seriously believe ND would even sniff the Big 12. They have their traditional games that are much more national in appeal with USC.

This is different in my book because it is at a neutral site where large contingents of both fan bases are present. But I've experienced the rowdiness and intensity between Sooner and whorn fans during the RRS, it is a sight to behold. That has also been one of the most intense games in all of college football recently because of the NC and Big 12 implications at stake, which helps. I mostly meant this in regards to DKR, which is pretty quiet for how enormous it is.

Easy way to fix that. Buy up 10 good billboards in Austin with the giant word "COWARDS" across them.

ETA - you could even make it punny if a pic of Bevo.

Uh, I think you have this backwards as to who the COWARDS are. UT isn't running.

Yes, we're the cowards. That's why we're going to a much more difficult conference. We also still want to play them, which would arguably give us one of the most difficult schedules in the country (SEC West + Texas) every year if we were to do so. They're the ones who refuse to play us, which is fine, it's their choice.

Are you that fricking delusional? A&M is such cowards they're "running" to the hardest conference in the nation... yeah that's some solid logic there.

Are you saying playing LSU, 'Bama, Arkansas, AU, and 1/2 the SEC East each year, instead of Texas, makes us cowards?

Show your work. Or else that's just nonsensical.

Sure they would like to get ND on the list. The Irish are one of the most overrated door mats in college football, IMO. A lock for a national prime time game no less with out having to put to much at risk.
