Considering you lost to Iowa State, Baylor, and UCLA at HOME last year (not to mention KSU, OU, and yours truly), maybe you should sit this one out big guy.

I'm not sure Texas can deal with a letter that is written with so much class.

If Texas A&M Is the SEC’s 13th Team, Who’s No. 14?
NY Times
August 25th, 2011
LINK
"But the SEC official said any discussion of specific universities was premature.
“We have had zero conversations about 14,” the official said. “And we won’t. I think the issue will be, Does Texas A&M want in? And if so, do we want to take them?”
"Texas A&M and Team No. 14 are expected to receive a pro rata share equal to what the SEC’s 12 current universities are making: an average of about $18 million in league payouts. (Individual universities can make more money from their separate television deals.)
The SEC deal, which ends in 2025, has a few windows when it can be renegotiated but no one from the SEC or the networks expects any radical change.
So the notion that Texas A&M will see a significant financial gain by going to the SEC is not true. While the SEC offers more long-term security, the Big 12 could end up with a television deal in four years that surpasses the annual payout of the SEC, according to Joel Lulla, a New York-based lawyer who is the Big 12’s television consultant. Starting next season, A&M is guaranteed $20 million of total revenue from the Big 12. Once the Big 12 negotiates its deal that expires in four years, Texas A&M would be poised to make more money. Texas A&M also has to deal with a potentially significant buyout that will be in the neighborhood of $15 million.
“Economically, unless the SEC opens their TV deals to the extent where they make more than a pro rata increase, it makes no sense at all,” Lulla said."
More of the same as was discussed over a week ago.

good grief, I hope the SEC doesn't expand and pick up A&M.

Hey Smoke Screen!
Looks like he got the message from Ken Starr about the invoice lol.

A question for Aggie fans: Does your band usually travel to away games? I have admired your band for years and would love to have the opportunity to see them perform at Jordan-Hare stadium. BTW, I hope everything works out for you to join the SEC.

Yes usually, unless the stadiums are too small and/or it's ridiculously far

You have a 37-75-5 record against them.
You're a dumbass. You are forever little brother.

Cinderella had her stepsisters too. She found a way to land the prince. The stepsisters -- well, let's just say they don't rate well on the O-T Lounge WYHI list.

Aggie will respond with, "Yeah, but look at the record since scholarship limitations."
.....while ignoring that they won their only title in ancient times before scholarship limitations and have had a ton of major NCAA violations for cheating since scholarship limitations.
I for one, am still waiting anxiously for all of this to be completely over. Sadly, twitter & message boards are filled with aggies who are crying that Texas will no longer play A&M. Can't the crying and bitching at Texas end? Just go, we all need a break from each other, just go, go go........

You don't send a formal letter to the conference commissioner asking him to calculate withdrawal fees and prepare for your exit unless you are virtually certain that you have a new home.

That's part of it, plus we were an all male military school till the 1970's, with classes around 2000 kids. Recruiting kids into the service isn't an easy sell. So look back at the "modern football era" starting in the 60's and it paints a clearer picture.

Clay, I would just ignore Drunk. He's butthurt badly. He's been completely wrong about realignment and is in denial that his team is about to go 6-6. He likes to pretend that his whorns have never broken an NCAA rule and uses that to rationalize losing 10 out of 11 games against us in the 80s-90s. But congrats on your wins in the 40's-60's
Pooooooor t-sip.
Scoreboard 24-17

butthurt? Have I ever said anything but I wanted A&M gone, for the 2 schools to stop playing and to get it over with as quickly as possible?

You and I argued about whether or not Baylor/politics would be involved. You insisted there would be no political hurdles because the leg was out of session and everything would go fast & smooth. Looks like I was right on this count.

Every post I have made about this season has acknowledged that if Gilbert is our starter, which looks likely to happen, we will suck again.

Is Texas flawless? No. Has every period of success A&M has ever had against Texas, especially the run you mentioned, been marred by serious NCAA violations for cheating? Yes.
