We're not playing in the Big12 in 2012. Even if that means going independent

That will be a big financial hit. Will probably cost your president his job.

Not really...It's not our first choice obviously. Idea is that we could still play a lot of SEC teams(their schedules are mysteriously not full if you check...for a reason) and garner some tv revenue from that. We'd do it for a year, then join the SEC.

If A&M becomes "independent" while playing a pseudo-SEC schedule, Baylor will still sue the hell out of Slive and the SEC.

Point remains though, we aren't playing in the Big12 in 2012. period.

This is ridiculous; TAMU is not worthy. We already have Vandy to kick hell out of and, of course, to bring conference GPA up.

The West is loaded, the East will be good again soon. The SEC needs TAMU like Jenna Jameson needs another herpetic lesion.

Maybe Slive should be looking into taking action against the Big 12 for contacting AR and asking them to join the Big 12? A&M wanted out - made that clear to the Big 12 - applied to the SEC. The SEC asked the Big 12 for it's ok - to prevent an appearance of poaching. AR has not said it wants out of the SEC. The Big 12 didn't seek the SEC's ok to offer AR membership. Who is messing with who?

The SEC should back off. The condition was not met, so this mess should be left alone. Why bother with a legal fight just for Texas A&M? The SEC is fine just how it is.

So now we need another school. How the hell are we going to have two divisions with 13 teams. They better not get rid of the divisions and rank everything as a whole.

There isn't a single school I want added to the SEC. There are two I can think of that could go. I sure hope this shite doesn't come back to haunt the SEC later on. Right now we have the best club on the block. Messing with something that is the best already should only be done with great caution.

On the condition no BigXII school sues. Baylor and ISU will sue.
As of today, this minute (9/8/11), does anybody at all know what the status of this thing really is? No BS or rumors, has the SEC or A&M issued any kind of official up to date statement? Is a suit already filed by Baylor or Iowa St.? Is A&M coming to the SEC or not? Do we have any insiders here who really know?

I was about to ask the same question. Also, isn't there some kind of deadline today? Inquiring minds want to know.
