If this turns into reality, I am assuming that there would be 2 divisions of 7. What teams would be in what division? Do they split up AU & ALA ?

I hope they put Alabama's arse in the East. Then we would could face them in Atlanta for SEC Titles. Saban will never allow it, though. He won't want to play Florida every year.

Another school calling themselves the Tigers. Its time for LSU to re-affix the word FIGHTING before Tigers.

And I guess that pretty much resolves their cross-division rival, doesn't it?

I think they should.

I'm surprised to see people in favor of splitting up Bama/Auburn. Esp because Bama would then lose their opp division game against Tennessee. (I like the LSU/Auburn series as well)

MU to the East to balance A&M seems simple and rational (if we are stuck with this 14 team conference stuff)

MU to the East won't happen IMO.

MU won't accept that and will stay in the Big12 if that's the deal. MU knows it can't survive without Texas recruiting and playing in Texas at least once a year.

If Mizzou is the choice, Auburn is moving East. The seeds and plans have already been laid. It works out best for everyone if Auburn moves East, including Auburn.

That would be every other year.

If A&M is their permanent opponent then they would play games in Texas the same number of times in the East as the West

Obviously that assumes permanent opp division opponents remain part of the SEC's plan - and that is not clear (to me at least)

I'm in favor of splitting up the IB because things have gotten way too ugly. If Auburn moves to the East and 'Bama stays in the West, I'd vote to keep Tennessee as our permanent.

It's possible MU to the East, but I think it is highly unlikely.

IMO, the SEC already has Auburn moving East and already has approval to do so if Mizzou joins.

Also, the crazy talk about Bama and Auburn both moving East (and Team XYZ West) is nothing more than crazy talk....No way does the SEC put 5 of the Big6 in one division unless there is a MAJOR POWER added in the West (i.e. OU or Texas).

Not if Bama went to the East.
