Ok to let you know, we parked at the front of the campus, the main entrance where the Memorial to the bonfire is. We drove in, and parked near the meteorological school. Paid $10. When we started walking up toward the stadium there were parking garages where you could either have a pass or pay $15.
We tailgated with some people she new right behind the stadium in a field near a parking garage. That area had lots of people tailgaiting, and was pretty good. Everyone was really nice. We had a great time.

How hard is it to get out of those garages after the game? Will be good to know for when we go over there, and if LSU ever goes in that direction.

If I were ATM, I'd lessen the grass (memorial?) offenses for games where LSU visits....they'll be lucky to keep Tiger fans from pissing on the grass!

Kingwood, you parked on the East side of main campus it seems and walked to Spence Park to tailgate. The rest of the tailgating is mostly throughout West campus. You just didnt see the bulk of the tailgating.
Come back, another time and let me or Ball Gravy know. We both have pretty good tailgates and welcome visitors
I'm sure many other Ags on here would also

Or any other SEC team fan, for that matter

A&M is absolutely spread out much more than LSU's tailgate..... you must have not gone to West Campus..... majority of the tailgating is there.... you gotta remember A&M has one of the largest campuses in the country...... also parking on campus.... either I don't believe you or you were on the extreme outer edges of the campus.... even then its tough (maybe over by the new building off University (lot close to Texas & University intersection)

He just said where he parked. Yes, he parked in lot 50/51 (lot by the new building off University) which is also the second lot I mentioned in my earlier post. It is on campus but about a mile and a half from Kyle Field.

Kingwood Tiger,
Glad you came to the game, and here's to many visits to Kyle Field in the future

A&Ms atmosphere is very good, but not nearly as good as some people say it is. Ive been to about 5 games there and yeah its cool to hear the yells and all that junk, but overall experience is middle rate for SEC. The tailgating was very average. I have taken 2 of my aggie buddies to LSU games and both of their mouths dropped when we pulled in to BR on Thursday of game week and their were hundreds of RVs.
They are in for a shock when they go to Bama, LSU, Florida, even Ole Miss and UGA.
When compared to the Big XII, yes they are probably one of the best.

Hey, there's only room for improvement over here.

I'm from Louisiana and have been to umpteen LSU games. The above statement is not true

quote:If you end up on the top, it can take a long time--up to an hour for the West Campus garage. They have a limited number of cash spaces for several of the garages, so if you get there early, you can park in the garage (and, the earlier you get there, the lower you park, the quicker you get out). Tailgating is spread out, and I would say that there is more on West Campus (across the tracks) than there is on Main Campus. Best thing to do, traffic wise, is get there early, and hit a tailgate before and after the game.

I parked in the northgate garage (three blocks from the bars) and got a 1st floor parking spot at 11:30 AM - 3 hours before kickoff. I was shocked.
Also, A&M needs to work on their recruiting, to upgrade their talent, if their going to the SEC. I'm not talking football players either. They are sub par the B12 IMO, which will put them in the third tier of SEC schools in the hot women category.
