Not sure at all. Only thing that is sure is that Deaton is like He-man.. he has the power.

I think they'd be looking for #13 and #14 together. The SEC only needs one school. Other than that, I don't really know.

We don't know with 100% certainty, but Mizzou has lusted after that conference since the beginning of time. I think they have finally realized that the Big 12 is a sinking ship and the SEC is their savior.

This.

I think Mizzou's board and faculty and the older crowd in general really wants the Big Ten.

I noticed they made hay about being in the AAU during the press conference.

Culturally, it makes a LOT more sense.

Mizzou is Midwestern, not Southern.

Because Notre Dame is still saying no.

Kill the Big 12 and there is no telling what happens. Does UT move on? Does OU beg for a spot again the Pac-12? Does the Big 12 kill the Big E, which in turn forces ND to move on? Does the ACC do something else?

Killing the Big 12 will pretty much change the entire landscape of college football. Be careful what you wish for is all I can say.

You kill the Big East there is no place for the secondary sports for ND to play, unless you assume that the Big East Basketball schools will stay together if a massive defection happens.

ND has always had the option of stashing their other sports. They will begin to change their tune if they had to treat all of their secondary sports the same way as their football team. Greater travel, greater costs, bigger headache..

The Big 12 won't die until or unless UT goes Independent.

OU can't go to the Pac without UT, and can't go to the SEC because the SEC does not want OSU.

As long as UT stays, OU stays...and the abortion of a conference known as the Big 12-2-1-1 lives.

That is the same as saying that Louisiana is all the same as Shreveport, or Lafayette, or New Orleans.

Northern Kentucky is basically a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio....how "southern" is that?

I'm not a huge fan of Mizzou, mostly for the fact that I love how immune the SEC is from conference poaching. If the Big Ten decided to go to 14 or 16, Mizzou would be their first call after ND and Mizzou would certainly be interested.
