As of saturday AM I was on the no ACC team is gonna come.....not so much anymore. I know they raised the exit fee to 20 million so the frick what. A&M is supposed to have a 30 million exit fee. This is chump change and the SEC will help pay the fee if they have to. Also I read the new Matt Hayes article and he quotes high ranking SEC officials as saying that anything is on the table.
I hope we stay at 14 and dont go 16, hell i didnt want to expand at all but like the article says....the SEC AND B1G will finish this and in spectacular fashion. ACC teams are still in play.

Aggy won't have a 30 million exit fee
if there's no conference, how do they pay it?

this is a lot nonsense
acc is going to 16, nobody leaving them
sec, pac, and big will all go 16 as well

I would think if FSU is still having a meeting over expansion they are still an option. I agree 20 million is not a lot to the SEC. Comes down to how much can be made by being in the SEC. I would think more than being in the ACC. Virginia Tech and Florida State are more football schools. Who knows though be interesting to see how things play out.

they wont but the point was they were willing to pay it.i dunno whats gonna happen and we will prolly just add A&M and WVU but dont ruke out anything when it comes to SEC and B1G

The vote to raise the buyout wouldn't have been unanimous if any of the ACC schools were considering leaving.
That would have been incredibly stupid on their part.

do you really think that vote was unanimous?
I mean, really?

I don't know if any will come, but I agree with the sentiment. No one here knows if the 20 mil exit fee is binding, or if the president's have the authority on their own to agree to it other than in principle. BORs might have to approve before it is effective.

I'll rule it out for you. ACC teams are not leaving.

you keep saying this and you might be right but nothing is certain. i have followed this thing as close as anyone and im not certain about what will happen but SEC will approach a couple of ACC teams for sure. SAME goes for the B1G.
who do you think B1G will go after? who will 15 & 16 be for SEC?

What evidence do you have to the contrary?

That's just what I've heard.

the reports of FSU exploring their options a few days before
the fact that "unanimous votes" in these meetings are usually not actually unanimous, as the conference controls what is reported to the media

well people with a lot better contacts then you are saying other wise so why should I believe you?
who is you source?
everybody keeps repeating bullshite assumptions and those with contacts are saying other wise so I will go with them.

also it's in every ACC member's best interest (including possible defectors) to give at least an illusion of solidarity to make the conference more attractive to possible applicants

This is how I am leaning. I can't see approving it then jumping.
