Selecting 80 teams, with each divisional winner going into an 8 team playoff. I tried to keep it as geographically and historically correct as possible. I also attempted to keep schools that have stronger football traditions than others.

Please point out any major teams missing and feel free to blast it with comments.

Super conferences are stupid. The conferences are just too big. Basically each division is a normal size conference.

14 team is definitely the max IMO.

8 10 team conferences? That sounds a lot like 1985

They would split into divs, so there would be 20 5 team groups. This would be better than 14 which is really kind of a sucky number.

This... Plus you have a 4-team playoff for conference champ.

The super conference setup would be established to have a direct path to the national championship tournament.

How many schools each year have a legitimate chance to win the national championship? Maybe 20?

This would create another subdivision of college football. The winner of each division would get to the 8 team playoff bracket and so on. A conference championship game can be played, but would not derail the loser from getting into that nat champ tourney. Rather, it would just get them the #2 from that conference.

The main thing I hoped for feedback on was the teams that I chose and the conference alignment.

I know its far out there, but I still think this could end up happening one day.

i think the PAC would rather quit playing football rather than having schools like boise, hawaii, and byu.
byu for the religious connection, the other because they are the 13th grade.

Any team in a BCS conference has the ability to build a national championship contender.

Some years they might no be able to come out of nowhere or they might have to have a stronger OOC schedule, but it is definitely possible.
