SEC:

West:
Texas
Texas Tech
Texas A&M
Oklahoma
Baylor

North:
Tenn
Vandy
Kentucky
Arky
oklahoma State

South:
LSU
Bama
Ole Piss
Miss St
Auburn

East:
Flordia
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Clemson
S. Carolina

You play every team in your divison, and 1 from each division (rotates each year) for a total of 7 conference games and 4 non conference. Last week of the season, you play the team ranked the same in your division pair. North and West, South and East (#1south v #1east, #2v2, etc.). The winner of the 2 1v1 games play each other in SECCG.

The winner of that goes on and destorys any team from the Big-4ish, Big 14, and the Pac 13ish retards.

I actually really like your matchup format, and think it could work somewhat in a 16 team scenario.

I like the idea but I am not so sure on the 1v1 2v2 etc. Why the need? Why not just the 1v1?

I look at it like this.. It is becoming more clear each year that we might eventually have 4-6 major big conferences and only a few small ones remain. I am not saying now, but within 50 years everyone is going want to jump into that sec money or that pac 10 tv deal, etc.. Big 12 will get torn to pieces like a zebra surrounded by 3 lions. Sec will expand and may eat off ACC...ACC off the big east..etc.

Why not go ahead and get a bigger conference and get the ball rolling. With our tv deal with espn, and all the other sec teams.. well, needless to say the schools can get a butt load of cash off ok, texas, and stuff like that. More money = Greater Reward.

In today's standards, 20 is a lot.. but pac 10 wants to make it 16.. we are better than them. Why not 20 just to give them the middle finger.

My logic behind that is the fact that if the 1v1 play each other, who does everyone else play that week? Doesn't every team have to have 12 games now? Plus, if you are #2 in your division and beat another good #2, it will help you out in bowl invites.

Nice thought, but who gets to host the last weeks' games, particularly the 1 vs 1 games?

Good question and I am sure each team will wanna host or have a neutral site etc. How do you counter that? And I get your answer and logic now I was simply wondering why not ooc games or rival games why does it have to be 2v2 if they would not matter and wouldn't another win still help with bowls regardless of who they were against playing a schedule like that?

That is a very good question. Maybe look for it in this order:

Better SEC record,
Better Overall Record,
Record Against Mutual Opponent (You play 1 team from other division)

Or... Special Locations...
North v West at Dallas MegaStadium
East Vs South at Miami Dolphins Stadium

Winners meet in Atlanta.

Well, I just think it would be hard to schedule games without this format. How would u have a rival game scheduled and then cancel to go in the 1v1 game. That leaves your opponent without a game (unless you do have the 2 teams without a game play each other)..I just thought it would be easier if everyone in the conference found out their opponents the same day and have equal time to prepare.

I like this idea

And I see your point on the other. Only problem I am seeing with your system is as it stands now there are 12 games with a possibility of an SEC Champ game making that a 13th game. Then you have potential bowl games making it possibly 14 games. If every team is guaranteed 13 games. would this have to push back the champ game date? If so what about bowl games. Would the NCAA go with this for one conference?

EDT NVM I see where you were adding in the last week as game 12

It's like that now. We play 12 games, a sec champ would be 13 and national champ/bowl games 14. Thats the same format as we are using now, it is just instead of playing arky is the final week, it would be playing the other division.

I got that after I posted lol. Good idea but would it work? How would you know who was going to be 1 2 3 etc by the last week with time to prepare and travel?

Well, I was thinking about the hosting part for the other teams not in the 1v1. I think they should swap every year. West gets over north 2-5 then north at home next.. same with the other 2 divisions.

They would find out Sunday morning or late Saturday night after every team plays 2nd to last game of season.

They would go on sale at beginning of season. You know that year if you are going to play at home or away based on the rotation, so you can buy tickets for that game early, or use your ticket for a spot in the lottery for the division championships..Sunday and Monday, all season ticket holders get the chance to get tickets for Miami/Dallas. Then, if you are not a season ticket holder you enter into the lottery 2-3 weeks in advance for a small refundable fee is we dont make it, and they pull those tickets. It is like what they did for the national championship games for the students when I went to LSU
