ND would still find a way to lose to a bad team like Navy.

Kansas State and Iowa State will NEVER be in the Big Ten.
Missouri, Rutgers, Kansas and ND make sense. UConn could be an option, too.
If the SEC wants to be able to get to 16, they may have to move fast and add KU and Mizzou with TAMU and WVU.
Posted on 9/18/11 at 4:49 pm to Jwho77
They dont have to move fast. TCU will jump from the big east if we want another team to go along with Mizzou who we will add once the Big 12 falls apart.

iowa state is an AAU institution. i dont think many people realize that.
KSTATE may or may not be a package with KU, so that remains to be seen.

Rutgers and Uconn are lobbying now to get into the ACC.

THE BOWLS WILL NEVER,EVER,EVER,EVER GO AWAY

dude KSU is not getting in the B1G. academics suck and they will not take them just to take them.
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: if you think the BIG East is done in all sports. It was main ND will not be forced to go into any conference.
and if the superconferences try to form a playoff without some AQ inclusion then Congress will get involved. Hell they are already getting involved according to pete thamel of NYT.

dammit why do you think that one excludes the other?
seriously, a 4 team playoff is EASILY achievable through the bowl system.

you havent read a god damn post in this thread. go back and play in your sandbox where FSU and VT are falling over themselves to pay $20m to come get their arse kicked in the sec.

jesus tap dancing christ you didnt read my Op in the other thread. I said that i believe that you are right and no ACC team will come and we will add WVU but linked an article written a couple of hours ago that stated both you and I were wrong.
and I believe the B1G will only go to 16 right now, same with the SEC.
Ill go back an read the complete thread before I comment on anything else you said.

That may be but they still wouldn't be invited to the Big 10. What exactly do they offer?

just reread the whole thread and you shite still stinks. this is not gonna happen.
First the BCS leagues are not leaving the NCAA. quit being a ranter. What is the incentive? the NCAA has shite to do with D1A football anyways. Its a home for the other sports. Its not gonna happen. Its not gonna happen. I cant repeat it enough....IT WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Second ISU brings nothing to the Big Ten. Nothing, I repeat Nothing. They bring no tradition, a small athletic budget, small stadium, and no new markets. the Big Ten already gets the premium fee for all households in IOWA. It would cost the B1G money to add them. absolutely no reason to add them. Also Iowa will block this move. ISU will lane in a modified version of the Big east or some modified version of a heartland conference that has BSU, Air force, louisville, baylor etc will take them.
Third KSU is not getting in the BIG Ten. They dont meet the academic requirements, bring no real great program in any sport, a small athletic budget, a real research dollars etc. If the B1G adds UK then they get the premium for the big ten network in kansas. the kansas legislature would allow the the schools to split rather then both be left out. a modified version of the Big east or some modified version of a heartland conference that has BSU, Air force, louisville, baylor etc will take them.
last thing you are forgetting is that Congress is already starting to get involved in this. There is no possible way in hell that 4 BCS super conferences get to form and leave out any way for any other school to play for a championship. Nobody is leaving the NCAA anytime soon and the non AQ schools meet all the requirements to be FBS. not a chance in hell that congress would allow them to be completely left out. No matter how much you and I want it to happen, its not going to.
I have a question though, if the bcs schools leave the NCAA like you say will happen....WHAT happens to the NCAA basketball tournament? or do these schools just leave for football? if its the latter do you really think that the NCAA will allow this? Just trying to get some clarification on how you think that whole clusterfrick idea would go down.

im not responding to anything other than this, because you have proven to be pretty obtuse to whats going on via posts in other threads
these however are valid questions.
IF the BCS teams left the ncaa, they would do so only in football and the ncaa has NOTHING it can do about it. Nobody gives the ncaa authority except its own members

btw if B1G expands it will go after ND first of course then UM and Rutgers and then ACC teams.
I still think that UT and ND to B1G is a possibility but its getting smaller by the minute.
B1G will not expand and take shite schools / athletic programs. If you think they will then you do not understand the B1G mindset at all.

the ACC isnt some shithole to be raided. its one of the big boys.

so you think that the NCAA will allow schools to stay within their membership for all sports but one? Do you really think the presidents of the other universities that would still make up the majority of the NCAA membership would go for this?
and how in the hell have i been obtuse. I know as much or more then anybody on these issues as I look at this shite constantly. and if your talking about my other post, then you didnt read my OP as I said I agree with you that no ACC team will leave. I was just posting what the article said and acknowledging that he prolly knows more then I do considering he has access to higher ups in the SEC offices. If you can acknowledge that then you are the one that is obtuse.

If that happens.
Winners: PAC, B1G
Break Even: ACC
Losers: SEC
The SEC really had to poach ACC teams or land Texas to come out ahead. If this happens the SEC would be the only conference to expand without really improving. The ACC is a push because even though they didn't improve football (and actually weakened it) they become the greatest BB conference ever.

So Tulane is going independent again huh. It seems to me that the SEC only wants to add schools in states they arent in. So if that is the case I only see us adding WVU and TA&M. Why add TCU when A&M gives you your Texas foothold? Missouri might be an option but I think WVU is a stronger get due to there basketball program although I know Missouri is on the rise. The problem that also develops is if you do add Mizz, TA&M, and WVU you need to add one more eastern team and I dont see any options. Before anyone says the go get an ACC team, I dont think it is an option with how proactive that conference has become. Any one have any other ideas?
