quote:

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self told the Lawrence Journal-World that the border showdowns may not continue if Missouri bolts.

"I have no ill will toward Missouri at all, but to do something at a time that could be so damaging and hurtful to a group, I can't see us just taking it and forgetting," he told the newspaper.

this is pathetic. Kansas may not have a BCS conference 'home' in the game of musical chairs. their basketball coach is threatening not to play Missouri, due to the butt-hurt.

This is a classic example of making a bad situation worse.
Kansas coach will not get to make the call though.

It's funny to me how some basketball coaches actually think that they are important.

I wonder if he would apply the same logic to himself (considering he left his prior job for a better opportunity)?

what business does a job-hopping basketball coach have talking about loyalty?

Doesn't his last name strike you as more than a little funny too?

Schools threatening to not play you anymore if you leave?

Been there, done that.

Ignore it.

Mike Krzyzewski says hi.

I think that man has enough pull in his conference that he could make a difference.

Wrong. He may have a lot of pull at Duke, but no individual coach of any sport, much less basketball, will be dictating terms to the conference as a whole. The school's president gets one vote. So, Coach K has the potential to have 1/12 of the power in the ACC, if his president cares what he thinks.

I didn't take that as threatening. He just doesn't see the point in playing them anymore.

Kansas is a bunch of tools. I quit the Alumni Association last month and told them to stop acting like Baylor!
