I have lived in both Columbia and Athens and Columbia is at least equal to if not superior to Athens. They are both great college towns, but Central Missouri has better BBQ.

Columbia is pretty nice actually. I always have a great time when I travel up to Missouri.

How can you be on board for Misery to join but not aggie? I say frick the both of them. The SEC don't need either one.

Hell Columbia is better than a lot of the SEC towns I've been to. People act like it's some lil rinky dink town of 15,000 people

Time is to valuable and short to waist it on a trip to Missouri. On my few weeks of time I can scrape off I will spend at the beach, with family, an on the rear opportunity to see a game on the road I would a pick a quality opponent. I know your proud of your team and your town buy going there would rank below a trip to see a Kentucky or Vandy game.

As a Jayhawk, it pains me to say this, but Mizzou is a huge add for the SEC. Columbia is a great town (if you're not a Jayhawk) and a solid fit for the SEC. Just hope we can keep the Border War game.

I hear what you're saying but they are still way down the list. If I can make one game on the road it will be against and Auburn, Bama or Florida.

Jayhawks are also a great band

if those are the only games you care to drive to what does it matter who they add?

I originally replied because an above poster asked if someone had ever been to Columbus like it was some type of nice destination. I was simply pointing out that it isn't that great. My comment has nothing to do for my lack of excitement about Mizzou joining the SEC.

Didn't Kansas channel their inner DeLoss Douche and threaten to cancel the series with Missouri if they left?
