I'm starting to think one of two things will happen....

In the light of Texas A&M appearing to be leaning towards the SEC, and Oklahoma now possible wavering on the Pac-10 idea, Texas has obviously gotten worried. So, Texas is now considering the "Save the Big 12" idea. I don't think anyone is gonna buy the idea that they can double their profits with two less teams, however they may.

If they don't buy it, I see Texas A&M and Oklahoma heading to the SEC. And then Texas going "shite, I better go with them". Then the Pac-10 goes "frick, we better get some folks." So they go after some like Texas Tech, Kansas, Utah, Boise State, and Oklahoma State. Then the Big Ten raids the Big East.

So either
A. The Big 12/10 stays together

or

B. The SEC picks up Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and a disappointed Texas.

My only question is, who else? Why won't slive take Ok. State? Who's he got in mind?

I do not think Texas to the SEC will happen. They have made up their mind about the SEC and alienated the SEC in the process.

If OU were to follow A&M to the SEC and the PAC 10 thing collapse, I would not be surprised to see Texas look at the independant route. Along with ND, they may be the only program strong enough for it to be a viable option.

I'm thinking A.

Texas has stated no SEC - I can understand that to some point with academics..

OU fans probably don't want PAC-10 like A&M and Texas won't go with only Tech and OSU to the Pac-10..

So what's left, Big 12 restructure.

That's a possibility.

Haven't heard that ZeroU is headed anywhere but P10--is this a new development?

They got worried the minute aTm realized they have a significant amount of power to do as they wish.

Would seem logical, but Texass has backed themselves into the P10 corner, & I believe will go that way out of saving face.

I haven't heard this either--I keep hearing that OSU is a package deal, but oddly enough not with ZeroU but with Texass.

I still think the Pac is probably going to happen. They all seem to have an almost incestuous relationship that they can't seem to break.

I think the double income Big 12/10 is sheer nonsense. You don't lose Nebraska and Colorado and double revenue.

If OU and aTm come to the SEC, I think UT will go to the Big 10.

When OU heard A&M was most likely going SEC, they started listening and backed out of their "we are going where Texas is going" statements.

From what I read slive is not considering Ok. State. Just OU, Texas, and aTm.

This Texass-to-the-B10 talk is mystifying to me. If NCAA stood for National Collegiate Academic Association, maybe so.

Them in the B10 makes their nearest conference game @ Nebraska. Can't imagine the pantywaists in Austin looking forward to a road trip to Meechegan in November.

I've actually seen a lot of UT fans that would rather go to the Big 10 than the Pac-10. But I could see that number dramatically increase if OU and aTm go to the SEC. I would be shocked if UT reconsidered coming to the SEC. If aTm and OU back out of the Pac and do not try to keep the Big12 together, there is no way UT goes out there with out them. Seems like the only conference left would be the Big 10.

The thing to do if you're a "texas follower" school, is to get into a conference that supports you instead of following Texas everywhere they go. The only reason that Texas plays big sister, is because they CANT make changes on their own. They want to look like they can, but they cant. Realize this...if Texas could move alone, they would have that Pac 10 Conference contract signed sealed and delivered.
And, while they act as if they "care" about the other Texas Universities, they could give a rats arse. They arent any more worried about TTech, aTm, and Baylor any more than they're worried about Mizzou, Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State. If these schools continue to follow Texas around, then don't come cryin when this crap happens again in 15 years. Crying wolf only gets attention so many times....shite, or get off the pot. If and when UT does move to the Pac Ten, it will only be a matter of time before those schools realize what Texas is. But then, it'll be too little to late.

tuck fexas. I think they are worried now. They assumed that the Aggies would follow... that's what happens when you're arrogant!

I would love to see tu go independent. And laugh. That will never happen because they love too much to be 'conference champ'. I bet that the Pac 10 is rethinking things, or that all along, they were making the deal ONLY if the sips brought the Aggies, et al. Ha ha ha.

The governor of Texas is an Aggie, so I don't think he'll try to 'save' the sips.

OU and A&M go to the SEC and Texas "honorably" salvages what is left of the Big XII by adding TCU, SMU, Rice, and UTEP ... oh and their own TV network.

TCU, SMU, Rice, and UTEP are already their annual OOC games, anyway, so no biggie. Keep A&M and OU on the schedule as OOC games, then throw in Louisiana Tech and NM State.

Then, they can finally win their conference more than twice a decade (maybe).

I predict that if an agreement is reached to save the Big-12, then suddenly the Big-10 will offer membership to Missouri...

Pussies want to go West to play a bunch of nobodies. Winners want to go South and play the best so we can be the best.

I just visited soonerfans.com, seems like most of them want to save the Big 12. And most seem to think the Aggies are idiots and will disappear in the SEC.

Why wouldn't Texas consider the Big 10?

Easiest route to championship games has always been their strategy, IMO.
