I had read Vandy was opposed a few weeks ago. I would think the other would be someone with agenda re: the 14th team

hadn't heard the Vandy opposition....makes no sense other than on principle...

I thought UF was against expansion..for fear of FSU

Read somewhere that Vandy abstained and Black Bears voted no. That would make it 10-1. It wasn't from a "reliable" source though... whatever that would be these days.

heard vandy abstained and also heard ole miss.

no reason for ark to vote now. a&m gives them a rival and better entry to texas.

While a lot of Arkansas fans hate the idea of A&M (some love it), I think our AD likes it a lot for recruiting reasons.

Its probably a net benefit for us. I just personally don't like it. I doubt we voted No.

I've heard the official vote was 12-0.

Now unofficially might have had some dissenters but the conference likes to officially vote unanimously if it's obvious the matter is to be approved

Think again, Professor

quote:

“I don’t have a problem with that,” Gearhart said about expansion. “I think we have to be careful that it doesn’t affect revenue and it could be a revenue enhancement and that would probably be good. And of course it depends on the school. We would want to have a prestigious school, an institution that would be of the same caliber and certainly A&M is. So, no, that doesn’t bother me.”

LSU and Arkansas are a pretty big reason we are here in the first place.
