We call them Texas Tech fans.

For as much as Aggies like to attack Texas, the Longhorns have never crossed the line when it comes to bonfire.

Have you spent much time on this site? I've seen people laughing and cavorting over the girl that had her head annihilated in a car accident.

The bonfire was years ago. You should expect to hear people making sport of that.

wish LSU would have stuck more to their heritage and roots as well.

The military tradition of "the old war skulle" is completely lost on many current day tigers. I agree that there would be some benefit to remembering the past, I see no benefit to preventing Pre-med, veterinary, law, engineering or architecture students from walking on the grass or wearring a cap in the book store.

To their credit the horns displayed a level of repsect seldom seen in our rivalry after the bonfire collapse. The way they handled it was nothing short of pure class.

When people comment about "staying off the grass" it's not entirely correct. There are a few signs posted around our Memorial Student Center (MSC) that ask to "please stay off the grass", but it's only around that one building. The MSC was originally built to honor those Aggies who had fallen in wars. Inside there are plenty of memorials to these men. And as is respect, when you come inside, it's requested that you remove your hat, much like when I visit my grandparents. It's just an honor thing. Now if you happen to walk through the grass, someone my give you a quite "off the grass" comment, but it's not something personal. Now if you set your tailgate up on there, hell will proceed.

First, it is The Ole War Skule. Second you are surely correct, I figured it would be something many would not understand. Here's a benefit for you, this tradition gives all students, not just those willing to serve their country (by the way those engineering and architecture and pre law students could be military cadets) the opportunity to remember the sacrifices of those who fought so they could freely choose to pick which school they wanted to join and receive their education. These small sacrifices made may bring the entire campus and LSU community a little bit closer together. But this again is something I expect only a few to understand. You have your right and freedom to whatever opinion you want and to make fun of or joke about whatever you wish. I may not agree but I'm still here serving my country to protect those rights. Always remember...

oh that's real mature, I was more educating you than anything. I was referring to the other guy who was more making fun of it and saying it ticked him off. But way to be sensitive.

Remember after all the internet smack talking, we are talking about university athletics and fine young men.

I will miss the tradition of playing the Aggies, but what will be will be. In the mean time...

Hey Batigern, it's roped off for games anyway. A&M's tailgating policy needs to change before yall get here. It's nothing like a day in BR, where every square foot of campus is covered in tents, ice chests, and open flames.

Just make sure you uncover during the yells. They get really gay about that at games.
