That would be the worst AQ conference in America. Texas would have a run of domination surpassing FSU's domination of the ACC in the 1990s.

Chicken...I am sorry to inform you but putting Tulane into any major conference is a fail.

I know, it was a major stretch...I saw their big win over UAB and got excited for them.

It would be great for Tulane...don't see it happening though.

Let me give you some better options, and reasons why.

1.) Air Force or Navy: 8~9 win team. AF Gave Oklahoma a very very close game at home last year(+3). Navy played USCw very tight this year.

2.) Nevada: Wrecked with their QB who just graduated. Could improve if they were in a conference were players actually wanted to go and play.

What a horrible conference.

worse than current Big East?

No but pretty bad. If I was a Texas fan I would want Pac or SEC

Sorry, GB...Tulane is a stretch, but it does get the Big 12 into Louisiana.

I would say they'd be way more likely to add Louisiana Tech, but their stadium only holds like 30,000. At least Tulane has the Super Dome to play in, though they never fill it up.

TCU, in a revamped Big 12, would be one of your top programs...it would most certainly help your SOS, and it would lead to better matchups, which lead to more televised games.

Having games televised isn't the problem. Bringing new eyeballs to the TV is an issue. This is why Cincinnati would be an exponentially better option than TCU.

Just one example of the sentiment that is out there:

wow...I wouldn't really hang my hat on that article. There is nothing to date that indicates that the Big 12 has any elite powers this year beyond Oklahoma.

Of course, we only have three weeks of data...

I might be alone but I want a form of the longhorn licker confrence to continue with strong teams. The SEC can't take all the powers!
They need to be spread out.
Also I've said for a long time some of the weak confrences need to add power teams or go to the Sub division.
I hate to see some teams left out, such as long time tradition heavy schools, Air Force, Army, Navy and some Big East schools.
