So much for conference stability - this is all the OK teams needed to take action.

Besides, I hope baylor gets their way and the Big12 stays intact. I'm sticking with 12 in the SEC.
The PAC is going to 16. You want the SEC to sit around and wait with their thumbs up their asses?

How on earth did Baylor screw over anyone when the Big 12 formed? This is the new meme and it's a lie.
A&M and Texas were leaving the SWC. Houston, SMU, and TCU were all on probation. The SWC was already effectively dead when Baylor exerted political pressure for the Big 8 to expand to 12. When the conference decided to take four Texas schools, Baylor and Tech were the obvious and only choices, given Rice's decision to deemphasize football.
Baylor's play saved themselves and Tech. But the killers were the two big boys and the cheating ways of the ones left out. TCU was not a better program than Baylor in 1995. Everyone wants to blame Baylor for their own misdeeds.
And while Baylor football has certainly sucked since expansion, they have actually been one of the better programs all around in the Big 12.
It's not in Baylor's interest to allow A&M to kill them. If they want Baylor to sign away their rights, Baylor rightfully wants something in exchange -- assurances that OU won't leave and they will still have a conference home. The SEC gave Baylor this power for reasons passing understanding.

How about Baylor win some freakin' conference games and make themselves relevant!? Damn entitlement mentality is taking over this freakin' country! It is Baylor's fault - and no one elses - that their athletics are pathetic, thus the reason they would not get invited to another conference.

Sit back and watch their programs get hurt? You would do the exact same thing in this situation. Look at all perspectives before spouting off that they are in the way or need to let it go. This move will affect more than just the Aggies and the SEC and it's damn sure not positive for all parties involved.
This is what people are not understanding. A&M is leaving the conference regardless and has said so for awhile now. Read this again: A&M is leaving the big12 after this year NO MATTER WHAT.
Trying to block our move to the SEC is purely out of spite. It does nothing for them. Why? Because A&M is leaving no matter what. They can do nothing to stop us from leaving the conference (litigation wise). They can threaten the SEC with a lawsuit, but that doesn't mean we aren't leaving.
This is the point. Baylor is acting like psycho crazed whore because they are realizing they are irrelevant and will eventually get left in the dust.

Except for A&M is going for a girl way out their league, and probably never could have closed the deal anyway.
Except for the fact that the hot girl already said "Yes".

Baylor is 18-101 in the Big 12. They might not even get an invite to C-USA with that kind of record.

Baylor needs to get real. They never belonged in a BCS conference to begin with. Get back to reality Baylor. Don't go away mad. Just go away.

No. If SEC doesn't go to 14 or 16, then neither will the PAC16. Period.

I am not reading everything, but I hope this has already been posted. When it comes to athletics Baylor is the team that took the big 12 check and invested it into non revenue producing sports (I.e. Women's basketball). Not into the sports that produce revenue such as football. Along with an alumni that doesn't support thier football team at the proper level. Dont give me small private school bs (ask Sherwood Blunt if a small school can recuiting

They got the same check that every other big 12 school got, it is not ok St's fault that they spent a ton of it on women's sports, or that they have done a horrible job of energizing alumni. Baylor is 2 hours away from one of the top ten metroplexes in the US there is no reason for them to not have adequate fan support, and facilities to keep up and improve to be a top school. They had the same resources as everyone else.

At least Baylor did SOMETHING with their check. Their fifth in total Big 12 titles. And they've won two national titles in the last 10 years. It's the other leeches who pocketed the money and didn't invest in their programs at all.
I'm looking at you Iowa St. An Texas Tech is a HORRIBLE all-around program. Totally horrible.

Ultimately, I don't think Baylor's last ditch effort to keep the Big 12 intact will work. But, for those saying they have a "entitlement mentality" and that is what is wrong with our country. What about honoring the contracts you enter into? Being a man of your word? I recall a quote from A&M's president from 2010 that said nothing meant more to an Aggie than keeping their word. All Baylor wants is for the Aggies to honor the contract they agreed to LAST year (not many years ago).
