.....and just for the record....how many SEC coaches have you ever heard whining about the SECCG in Atlanta? I dont remember ever hearing any coach complaining that we shouldnt have one....

Now, Mack Brown and Bob Stoops do.....why would anyone eliminate a conference championship game that brings in soooo much money to the conference? They are cowards and they dont wanna lose. I dont think any other coaches in the Big 12 bitched about it....just Stoops and Brown. Why do you think that is? Because they are both afraid of each other...losing once doesnt matter... you're practically guaranteed of playing in a BCS Bowl in most years...ya lose twice to the same team...you are OUT!

ChipBrownOB: To recap: A plan by Dan Beebe to keep the B12 alive w/ 10 teams with SEC-type TV payouts ($17m) is being considered by Texas.

So they lose 2 markets and increase their TV contract?

bullshite. No way, no how they get that much.

Wouldn't this be the $8-9mil that CU and Nebraska have to pay for leaving the conference?

..but this is only short-term. When the new TV contracts come up for renewal, losing CU and Nebraska will hurt at that time.

What is the uneven distribution of funds which we hear from the Big12 lite?

Colorado and Nebraska showed alot of balls to ditch the Big 12.....so Aggies, it's your turn now.....now or never! If you ever want to get out of Texas' shadow, now is the time to do it...I would think that your AD would realize this...Do you really care if Texas bans any sports competition between Tex and aTm? You might lose the game, but you will get off of your crutches....just tell them to frick off...if you were to join the SEC, you wouldnt NEED those assholes.

Every year? No

Bebe is claiming he can get a TV package like the SEC's in which each team will get $17 million. But he couldn't manage to get this with 12 teams and save the big 12? right......

even if the big 12 holds together somehow and colorado/nebraska have to pay 10 million each to get out - that's only 20 million divided 10 ways for one year

Same as it was as the big 12 heavy. No revenue sharing unlike the SEC.

All the teams would get there mythical 17 million from TV, but Texas would get a bigger portion of the revenue profits.

ChipBrownOB: How would moving the Texas-OU game from the State Fair in October to Jerryworld the first wk in December fly?

(The Whorn spin masters are trying everything they can to make the Big 12 sound wonderful and exciting now. Pathetic)

So let me get this straight. They lose Nebraska and Colorado, yet, they will somehow garner the type of television deal that will put them on par with the SEC?
