taking Boise offers nothing and in a half competitive conference they loses at least 2 or 3 games

Okay so your conference is on the verge of dying. Would you rather go pick up a smaller school or grab ones who have had success in football in their conference and try and build them up. Not many teams were out there and with how the Big 12 had teams leave so quickly especially Nebraska they were not going to convince another BCS school to jump ship and join them.

The problem is that right now Arky thinks they are joining the elite.

Wasn't that always the deal anyway?
Not really. You still had to play Colorado or Nebraska or somebody in the Big 12 title game. The Big 12 always had about six contenders for the conference title; now it's 2 or 3.

Still can't figure out how he would like to stay at 10 in the BIG 12......

At that point, beat OU, and you're in the BCS. That's it.

I don't know about that. Their SOS will be even worse than it is now and those of the SEC should look even better IMO. I don't think they can ride on their reputation to get in the big dance if there are other undefeated schools in the SEC, PAC and Big10 they will be left hold the bag.

Texas can go to greener pastures.

What exactly does this mean? You think Texas jumps ship? If they don't then your conference becomes the Big II with only Texas and OU being worth a shite.

I don't mean necessarily the BCSCG. I mean a BCS bowl.

And they can manufacture a tough schedule out of this. They'll still play A&M every year, and they'll be able to fill the other games with medium teams, padding their SOS just enough.

How big of a wuss is beebe that the UT athletic director is making the decisions on how many members there are in the conference. No wonder TAMU wants out...every other school in the conference needs a nut check considering how they let UT walk all over them. At least A&M has the balls to do something about it.

If UT doesn't get their panties in a wad. They are so arrogant they would stop playing them just to spite them.

They have been losing to the bad Big 12 teams. They have won 1 Bowl win in the last 15 years

Air Force I think would jump in a heartbeat.

I think BYU is a strong chance. Would independent serve them better in the long run then being in an AQ conference? that's what matters, also how much better it could get them compared to what Utah got with Pac-12.

Notre Dame? they're delusional
