They aren't "Big" until they win Atlanta.

OK, THAT leaps out at me...

Vandy has been the butt-boy of the conference for the better part of 30 years, yet they still have a better all-time % than Moo State.

Those 18 wins and 1 tie that MSU had to forfeit from the mid-70s made the difference.

Sounds balanced and appears to make life tougher for AU.

AU would play 4/5 of the highest winning percentages in the league each year.

69 - 64 = 5
63 - 60 = 3
59 - 56 = 3 <----big drop-off?
54 - 50 = 4

Not with respect to winning percentages, but with respect to their rank. #28 to #50 is a big drop off.

Yeah that, and the 200 wins (78%) Vandy had in the 30 years from 1901-1930.

Since 1970 Vandy is #110 at 140-317-4 (31%) while State is #84 at 200-265-4 (43%)

1. My point was that, if Moo State didn't have to forfeit all those games, they'd be at almost 50% which would barely edge Vandy by a few thousandths of a percent.

2. Vandy may suck since '70, but State winning only 43% of games since then is hardly anything to brag about.

That's three spots behind Baylor, who has been the Big 12's bitch for the past 16+ years, and just above Arkansas State and Kentucky.

My point was just that using entire historical records to determine conference alignment is stupid.
