Runs a 3-3-5 also

Is young, smart, and learned under a great defensive mind in rocky long.
He just proved himself in the sec at miss st.

Derek, go get zach arnett.

3-3-5 is not important, we need a creative coach who will get the most out of our players with an "attacking style" defense that will keep Coach O happy

Should be at the top of the board of all the realistically available candidates. Arnett is great.

For the little research I did Arnett was at the top of my list.

Regardless of what formation he is married to, winning games is all that matters and is what will determine whether or not O keeps his job in the not so distant future.

The other good thing is he has a year of being a DC in the SEC under his belt. He's got direct experience and his stats are more relevant than someone at smaller conferences with no out of conference games in 2020.

Arnett would be solid.

Reaves at UAB would be more of a risk because of what I said above, but is still a quality prospect.

I'm also intrigued by Nielsen with the Saints. Louisiana ties, on one of the best coaching staffs in all of football. NFL experience and young and up and coming.

At this point, there should be no diversity restrictions on the hiring. Freeman and Mason are gone and Richard would be a poor hire. O needs to get this right for his job's sake.

He and Tem Lukabu look like the best and most proven fits for us. Add Reaves and Nielsen below them and you have your board. Go get one in the next 5-7 days, O.

God, not Nielson. Arnett > Lukabu and Reeves, but all three would be decent.
