UCLA beat this team when they had a lot more to play for.

Do you think Kiffin fits the mold of a Woodward hire? I’ll grant you Kiffin is better than O. So is Kelly.

Woody is swinging for the fences.

No. Riley, Saban and Tomlin fit the mold of Woody’s hires. Kiffin couldn’t even make it a decent game against a weak Bama team (by their standards).

Kim Mulkey was the WBB equivalent of hiring Saban.

I would honestly take the three you named before Kiffin, maybe it will be Riley, I'd be just as pumped

Honestly Kiffen wouldn't be my first choice. Let's be honest though...he's the most innovate offensive coach in CFB. We would avg. 35+ ppg with this guy. You need your HC to lock down one side of the ball. He can do that. Look at what happens when you have a coach that isn't great at anything!

Let’s see if LSU really is a Top 5 job that not only pays at the top in $$$ but can attract a real Top 5 Coach.
It may possibly be underwhelming and not even a Top 10 coach.
And just because Miles and Ogre won a ring means nothing. The top program that Saban built and left has been torn down and needs a rebuild.

This is Tomlin/Saban money. I don’t even think we’d offer Riley that much. Offering Kiffin this much would be criminal.

Not really Saban, but there are legit people in NFL football (Doug Whaley) saying LSU has a legit shot at Tomlin.

It’s really funny considering how Saban said LSU fans have catastrophe syndrome. He was so right.

Thankfully, Woodward doesn’t.

He has Ole Miss as a top 10 team a year and a half after Matt Luke was fired.

He was specilating because he was doing talk radio. He hasnt talked to anyone within the steelers org including Tomlin, meaning he doesn't know anything. Tomlin also just signed a contract extension this summer knowing Big Ben is done after this year.

Its also not catastrophe syndrome to rule out unrealistic candidates. You're setting yourself up to melt hard when we dont hire Saban or Tomlin and instead hire a really good coach in guys like Franklin, Kiffin or even someone like Napier when/if Riley says no.

True, but the Steelers have not secured a franchise QB or made moves to do so. That can spell the end for a coach. Tomlin

Yeah because it's easy to secure franchise Qbs right. ??

Im sure Tomlin expcted them to land Mahommes, Brady or Rodgers this off-season.

This is the perfect argument for him returning to CFB. You realize that, right?

A CFB coach can recruit as many elite QBs as he wants.

Now you're talking yourself in circles man.

So you think Tomlin signed an offseason contract extension with expectations to get a franchise qb to replace Ben and now that they havent he's gonna leave? Do you really think Tomlin thought they would when he signed?

Why? Kiffin is 1-1 vs CEO. CEO was better than Kiffin at USC in 2013. CEO has a championship. They both flamed out at major programs.

Let me guess…the eyeball test? That’s always the go-to when Kiffin can’t get it done on the field.

ETA forgot to mention recruiting. CEO is better there as well.
