I've been reading some of the OU forums more and I'm honestly a little concerned, but not overly. A young coach can learn and adjust. But anything is better than what we have.

A change of scenery might force him to reflect a bit and make some adjustments.

He needs to let go of play calling duties. He's got his head wrapped around the next play and cant see how the actual game is unfolding.

It’s not any more likely that Aranda makes their defense great while sustaining their offensive success than it is Riley makes LSU’s offense great but the defense falls off.

Your right. I would be thrilled with a Riley hire. Something just tells me Aranda is going to end up being a better coach. I like his temperment and attention to detail.

It sucks you have boxed yourself out of the coach poaching process.

It’s been one helluva ride.

I don’t disagree.

That's definitely true. And again, young coaches like Riley will grow over time and adjust. It's one of Les Miles' failures as a coach. Corch O as well.

Young coaches are much more receptive to making adjustments when needed.

DBG, for what?!

How's that? I'm having a blast being the counter-Riley. It's fun being in the minority here. I've always posted that I really liked Riley and think he'll be great, I just prefer Aranda. That's not exactly controversial.

How could you guys screw this up.....all you had to do was offer him $12 million/year.

Now we are stuck with him another season.

Maybe the cowboys job will open up in 2023.
