Going weeks with absolutely no official word leads to bad morale. A good leader knows when he needs to rally the troops.

What “official” word do you want? Is Scott supposed to come out and say we are talking to this particular coach who is under contract with another school and in the middle of the season….

We were never going to hire a sitting P5 coach at the level LSU wants to hire before the end of the season. I can’t think of an example where it has been done.
