These are 5 year averages, all accumulated at some point in the last 10 years.

PPG: 38.12
YPG: 440.99
PYPG: 255.89
RYPG: 185.10

-Numbers accumulated over three different QBs.
-Numbers accumulated in a BCS conference

Yeah, it's Greg Davis.

He takes endless amounts of shite from Texas fans (and was blamed for every loss they suffered from about 2000 on), but that's pretty good production over a 5 year span.

Not sure what their offenses were like prior to 2005.

He's not a guy that would get anyone excited, but could be Chavis-like in just bringing fundamentals/solid play and letting your athletes work.

Mack obviously forced his resignation just to appease the fanbase really... his offense was top 10 four of the last five years.

i never understood why he was so hated. he would take major heat everytime they didnt score 40+ points. we should trade them crowton, straight up

It baffles me that Crowton does not know how to coach an offense with a decided talent advantage.

That's what I'm trying to figure out too.

The level of hatred does not match the quality of production.

I think part of the issue was big game performance, but I'm not in the mood to sit here and parse that all out right now.

I do know against USC and Michigan they dropped some pretty big point totals with VY.

It's what of the most aggravating things I've ever seen.

I know some people say it's not Crowton its JJ (or Lee). I get that a bad QB can hold back an offense... but I've never seen any QB hold back an offense THIS much.

all offenses struggle in big games- almost always they are playing a good D

Dan you continue to be easily imressed. It's nuts. Let's hire a coach who's was fired by his bff. Why the need to spin these things? Your Jefferson threads earlier this yr were similar. One mans trash etc?

I didn't even have to read your comment... as soon as I saw your name, I knew it would just be more of your typical negative bullshite.

Sorry, I'll just stay in your camp. Holgorsen or bust!

As opposed to Greg Davis? Yea I'll take holgrosen all day over him, or leach or harsin or some else not recently fired by their bff

Holgorsen is an up and coming coach, no doubt.

But I feel pretty confident he won't be going anywhere unless it's for a HC gig.

he was there for 12 seasons. a change of scenery could do him wonders. hes got the track record of good QB mentoring. his offenses have put up points. its not his fault the entire fan base is off their collective rockers. we could do a shitton worse than davis
