Would Saban's staff be any different at LSU?

I'm not at all impressed with Saban's staff at Alabama. Would he be able to get better people here, or is his lack of staff simply a consequence of him being an a-hole?

I am hearing over here that if he leaves alabama will only let him out of his contract if he promises to take Mal Moore to LSU to be co-AD with the skipper.

yeah, but what's in the cart is important when evaluating whether or not you want the horse that's pulling it.
I have doubts as to Saban's ability to get a good OC. No way in hell do I want applewhite running our offense. Could he keep Crowton and leave him alone?

I am OK with this pattern:
Years 1-5: Saban coaches LSU, wins 2 SEC championships, 1 MNC, leaves us loaded with talent.
Years 6-7: Saban leaves for the NFL and flops
Year 8: Saban comes back to college and is mediocre at somewhere other than LSU.
rinse, repeat
