Would Matt Rhule leave Carolina in the middle of the season?

The Panthers kind of stink. We need a coach by next week at the latest. If Rhule is the guy, would he leave his team and start recruiting ASAP?
I think Rhule would be at least as much of a home run as Riley, maybe more.

I don't know if he will, but he'll be on the hot seat next year. Winning 36% of your games isn't going to cut it... Panthers will expect major improvement next year I'm sure.

He isn’t exactly crushing it in the NFL. Maybe he wants to come back to college.

Its not working out in Carolina. They have a lot of rebuilding ahead. Maybe NFL isnt for him.

There is no one on this board who wants Matt here more than me, trust me. But, I don't see that happening. He's not the type to leave mid season.

No chance. The NFC is terrible and they're still very much in the playoff hunt. I also think he has a long leash there from the owner. Leaving midseason for a college job would probably kill any future chances of coaching in the NFL.
I do think that by the end of the 2022 season, if the Panthers don't look like they have a long term QB solution, he might start looking around and the Panthers wouldn't exactly rush to stop him.

I'd love Rhule here. The timeline will not be favorable for us to get him by early signing period. Tough to see us waiting for him unless he's willing to bail during the bye week.

They were never in the playoff hunt, and it has everything to do with Rhule/Brady.
