If he does not hire a suitable coach in an appropriate time frame (whatever that may be, i will let you decide).

I would think that he would, but would it be surprising if he didn't get fired by not delivering a good head coach.

Maybe, but F. King would have a share in the blame for last year's debacle.

If it's anyone besides Jimbo or Herman he should be fired.

I would agree.

So obviously this isn't just a problem at the head coach level but its beyond that.

what if they say no? if alleva gives them our best offer and they don't want it? you can't make them come.

i certainly blame alleva for screwing it up last year but i don't think a coach turning down our best offer is on him.

No. he won't.

Why would the guy who would give a thumbs up in his Football choice, fire him for his choice?

ya'll are the ones coming up with names so please educate me, I haven't kept up with football too much.

This is the first time in 5-6 years that I have been able to watch the team and program consistently so I never realized or i took it with a grain of salt of peoples comments on here over the past few years.

whatever radio station I heard this morning when I was driving in shreveport mentioned it.

i suppose it had to do with the situation from last year.

Joe Alleva is not getting fired. It isn't happening. LSU is too profitable right now.

A cumulative result of hiring a poor choice for HC, a disastrous Men's and Women's BB seasons and a revolt among the TAF... would probably seal the deal.

Just think: Alleva has the ability to hamstring LSU football for years with a single bad coaching hire. If Alleva obviously shits the bed in a big way, I wonder if the LSU Board would be able to reject the contract and terminate him.

His job would be tied to whoever he hires. If his hire doesn't produce acceptable results (9-10 wins) then he is gone.
