Good luck getting this bunch to understand that.
SW didn’t conduct a coaching search. He was told to go out and get Jimbo. Do whatever it took, blank check and all that, but bring him in.

He’ll keep the Aggies at 8-4/9-3 every year which is their ceiling. So he’s good for them. They’ll never do better because of all the figs their

In 4 years jimbo has already won 9 games as many times as sumlin did in 6. Last years Covid season has messed up y’all’s perception of jimbo. With a normal 13 game season he very realistically would have been 12-1. This year was disappointing for sure but based on last year and recruiting jimbo is doing a fine job at A&M. We are hoping for better but nobody is sounding the alarms.

This board is filled with morons.

Jimbo has not been a failure at A&M
Has he lived up to the expectations of a coach specifically hired (and paid accordingly) to compete for championships?… no, certainly not. Is he worth the money so far?… certainly not.
But there is a lot of levels in between that and failure. He hasn’t been a failure.
He has recruited and hired great there. He just unfortunately probably won’t ever see the light on offense so he has a ceiling in today’s game. I predict if they don’t get an SEC title by Year 7-8, which they inevitably won’t under Jimbo due to his offense, they’ll start looking for a way to move on from Jimbo.
Their fans are hoping King is the answer for next year, they just haven’t realized yet that he’ll never be an elite SEC QB. And even if he (or someone else was elite), Jimbo’s offense won’t ever be elite regardless…and he’s too stubborn to change it.

No it hasn't.

You have no way of 'realistically' knowing this to be certain.
His offense is archaic and he refuses to change. Great for you if you're ok with it.
I don't want him and most here don't either. Keep him and his recruiting classes. If history is any indicator, he'll botch teaching those recruits. How'd his team look last night against an LSU team that's down to darn near the bare bones of players? And he still lost.
He's overrated. I didn't want him 6 years ago. I sure don't want him now.

King got hurt on the first drive of the second game of the season.
There’s literally no evidence to suggest he will be a good or bad QB.
