Orgeron as HC, Aranda as DC and Malzhan as OC.
Orgeron may have perfected a near flawless system for coaching in college, let the coaches coach, don't wear the players down, keep them active, interested, motivated and out of trouble.

What are people thinking Jimbo or Herman???? Who is going to do the recruiting and how many football players are going to flee to Alabama and other places? In my opinion if coach O wins out it's a win win for LSU and the possibility of players staying in the states!

I've never in my life seen a coach that was 4-21 in the SEC that the fans wanted as HC.

Come on man, he's cajun. What do you have against cajun?
The level of dumbass that's taken off since Les was fired is unreal. And that's truly saying some on this board.

I'm from Jefferson Parish. Just because he is cajun means he will be a good HC?
I want whats best for LSU.

Orgeron's ready! He's learned from his mistakes, that's what the great ones do, they adapt then achieve.
Guys, seriously. you have no idea if that was really the reason he failed at ole miss. You believe it because you want to trust what he is telling you.
Maybe that is the reason he was unsuccessful. You nor I know for sure, and honestly, coach I doesn't really know if that's why he failed. You know why? Because he had not had another HC coaching job where he can show people what he's learned.
He needs to do that before being the lsu HC.
When you hire a coach that has failed previously, you should be highly skeptical of what they tell you...until he proves himself. You think he's gonna tell you "I have know idea why we sucked at ole miss"?
8 games with les miles' team is not enough.

Well said..... They don't think he has actually learned from his mistakes. They just know he is from south LA and he is cajun.

They are just repeating exactly what he told us in the first press conference. Like sheep.
I'm from LA and love LSU. I know I have no experience, but I know I'm my heart of hearts that I am an excellent HC.
HIRE ME!
I feel like I'm watching the DNC.

I wouldn't be mad either, especially if Herman and Jimbo are off-the-table.
I don't think we get Herman, in fact, I don't think LSU is really that interested in him- it is going to be Jimbo or we stick with O if he continues to perform well. That being said, we had some great balance on offense last week, with just a few changes.

LSU won't get Herman, he's either Texas bound or USC bound. It's either Jimbo or Orgeron for LSU.

You can keep the sheep comment for yourself. Funny listening to people bashing him over a record he had several years ago and have no idea anything about coaching except watching folks coach on tv.
Repeating exactly what he said in the first presser - perhaps, but last year when the discussion of Coach Miles being fired came up, I said the same thing. I won't take my time to search through and find it, but to insinuate that all of us are parroting his presser is incorrect.
Personally I sat through a coaching clinic with him a few years ago at Mississippi State. His discussion there regarding this same topic was more thorough and directed to coaches. While you and others may see his comments at the presser as just talk to beef himself up - the clinic then he was thorough in the topics. Pretty awesome from my standpoint the discussion he had about team meals - bringing coaches and families together. It lets everyone relax while they're putting in those long hours... they can focus more on the job than having their mind on their families. The details he went into and the authenticity sold me.
Personally - I could care less if he is cajun or not ... dude has his stuff together from my experience and discussions with him. Tom Herman was someone else who I felt was very knowledgeable but not quite as approachable - still not bad. i've been blessed to meet quite a few collegiate coaches and of those - Tom Herman and O are the only ones that I, as a Tiger fan who has listened to them talk Xs and Os, would be thrilled to have as a head coach here. I have not sat through anything with Fisher so I can't say there

Oh and that said - Coach Aranda is by far the most football knowledgeable coach I have ever heard speak about the game. Thrilled he is on our staff

You can't prove he will be a great hire for HC.
I can prove to you more that he will be a terrible coach that you can rove to me that he will be a good one.
It can't be just because he said so.
I have never once bashed the guys character. In fact I have met the guy a few time and he is a super nice guy and very cajun just like me. I will not stand for someone attacking the guys character on here.
I have attacked his coaching resume in quite a few post on here. I think his coaching record speaks for itself . He was a bad HC that I don't think should get the job.

Orgeron can prove you wrong, I know Chicken is a big Jimbo fan, we'll all see how LSU's season plays out, some might be shocked.

How with a team someone else built? Tell him to go to a smaller school prove he can win then I am all in for him.
It can't be based off him winning with a team someone else built.

I haven't bashed him at all and he is my favorite coach on staff.
I just don't think lsu should be hiring someone Because he is telling us he's improved. That's something LA tech needs to do.
I'm looking for the surest bet out there into keep LSU elite.
I can't fathom how anyone thinks O is that guy. He MAY very well be. But it's a huge risk. And if wrong, it could set us back 5+ years.

This post is the total opposite of how most of the rant thinks.
Well said.

Well he put up twice as many offensive yards as Les's talent.
And I am pretty darn sure CEO had a fair amount to do with building this team.

I disagree. Most of the rant are holding off on Orgeron until the games are played, the schedule that remains is a herculean one, it's all up to the CEO and how he performs in these big games. IMHO.
