Not saying it has to be 1 of those guys, but there will be interest in coaches, just have to pick the right 1

all im saying is we would be the last school to fill the vacancy. Slim pickens out there !!!!
Again when I say slim pickins that is coaches that we actually have a chance to get!!!!
I find it funny people actually think Gruden would come. The man won a superbowl and believe me hes gonna coach again but not at the college ranks
And did someone say nick saban. Honestlety dude puff puff pass

Pelini - happy in huskerland
Saban - he's not leaving bama for lsu
Mullens - maybe, but doubt it
Patterson - maybe
Petrino - arky will fight tooth and nail
Fisher - not happening
Chucky - same as above
Butch Davis - would be a good hire
Rich Rod - possibly
Tommy Bowden - maybe, but doubt it
Terry Bowden - same as above
USC Offensive COordinator - not happening

WHo of these would turn us down without an interview...including Saban???

In my opinion that search was a "win", we have since won a national championship, and conference title and have 4 11 win seasons
not many programs can say that, regardless of how you think about Miles, he has been sucessful.

That's not the point. The point was, there wasn't this long line of big name coaches lining up to interview for the job.

Unless you consider a 60 something year old RC Slocum one of those coaches

actually, I think it is the point, it ended well, so what would prevent another one ending well?

I'll take Al Golden over the majority of your list. Bowdens? That's stooping way below Golden. Sure I'd prefer Mullen or Peterson but the rest are either far-fetched or below Golden.

Hey the Bowdens CAN coach!

It's not a point in this conversation. Could LSU luck into a good hire, sure. But it will probably come the B-List of candidates.

Saban, Gruden, richt etc aren't going to Interview for the LSU job

How did he do at Clemson? And, you believe LSU should grab the Northern Alabama coach?

Is this the list of perople that lined up for the Florida job?
I am going to give you a really hard task.
THINK.
How many of the above jumped in trying to land in Gainesville? Florida has more money than LSU, great weather, fantastic facilities, a huge and wealthy fanbase, and a top notch tradition. Why would anybody your list bust their azzez to get the LSU job when they didn't move off their sofas trying to get the Florida gig?
Why is basic thinking so hard for so many of you?

no school has a hard time finding a coach. Just a hard time finding the rt one that can take ur program to new heights. which for LSU would be very hard to top 4 11 win seasons.
