A little confused on why Brady would personally recommend to coach O theses two that are currently on his coaching staff?
Because Joe owes LSU and Ed for his success right now. Ed gave Joe a platform to show his skills. He's at least 5 years ahead of where he'd be without Ed.
also, Joe is a good guy and DJ is his friend and I would guess Peetz is too. He probably wants them to get the same opportunities.

Yeah, that part doesn't sit well unless it is discussed with the HC, and approved. It happens often enough, but puts the guy on the former HC's shite list.

It would be beyond stupid not to seek Brady's advice - and act on that advice if it made sense to you.

Not saying you can't consult him. All coaches do. But did he interview anyone else? He called and got an answer and hired them. Thats it.
