That dline has been playing well. Probably the best position group on the team. His guys killed Max. We know can recruit and develop. Kelly loves winning in the trenches.

It would be a jump up for him, but he would be surrounded by former DCs at every position.

Just a thought.

If we were looking for a DL coach that produced all year, why wouldn’t we pick Andre Carter? This makes absolutely no sense man. Plus, everybody killed Max because it took him half an hour to get rid of the damn ball.

He is the best recruiter and developer on that team so he gives you a bad vibe?

Nah man.. their RE gave Delly fits. Put him in the spin cycle. Leal will be the first DT taken.

I really like Carter. Wouldn’t be mad if he stayed. AM has two Dline coaches.

You want to hire somebody who’s never been a DC before???? He’s a great recruiter but Brian Kelly isn’t pulling that type of move to hire somebody with no experience.

Dellinger was a freshman. Just because A&M has an admittedly good DLine does not mean their DL coach would be a good DC. That’s crazy. Daronte was a secondary coach in the NFL for God’s sake and he only started having success in our last four games because he sent the house.

I like the idea of KEEPING Andre Carter. Our D-Line was the best position group on the field IMO. Even with massive injury turnover.

Either LSU is top tier, or it isnt. If you have to ask "why not" when discussing a coordinator job at LSU, you are probably aiming too low.

Dan Lanning was a linebacker coach at Memphis.

You surround them with coaches like Baker and Cooks to assist in their development.

Some guys just have a talent and are too good to pass up. Robinson will be a DC eventually, and he will be a good one.

Lanning had kirby to help him along.

Two totally different situations. He is a d line coach.

You don't see many d line coaches becoming d coordinators, especially jumping into their first job at lsu.

That was a hang up for me as well. Dline coaches aren't promoted often to DC.

Linebacker and safety coaches usually..

Again, this was just an option. Penn State is looking hard at him.

If the OP were actually an Aggie, he would know that A&M has two defensive line coaches - one for the interior (Robinson) and one for the ends (Price).

I thought that Robinson was the interior guy too.

Do aggies really think he is in line for a dc spot?

I believe he played at penn state and i bet at best it would be a co-dc role.
