Why is espn assuming LSU broke the story?

Obviously, they didn't. Alleva made it very clear that LSU didn't break the story.

Two far more logicial sources of the leak.

1. Armstrong. He told the media their waas a deal in order to get Texas to raise its offer.

2. Texas. When Armstrong told them Herman was going to LSU they leaked it in order to somehow torpedo the deal. (Like Miles to Michigan.)

I'm not saying either of the above happened. Just saying both are more logical than LSU breaking the story.

The LAST thing LSU wanted was for the news to break during the game.

But, what do I know? I thought Jimbo was going to LSU.
